Comments:
Just like the 1997 Spider-Man International set, these cards are a re-packaging of the X-Men:Chromium / Wal-Mart sets. Although the cards do have a 1996 copyright date, the card boxes they came in show a 1997 date. In addition to this they made some more slight changes. The date is missing from the "Fleer X-Men" logo, whereas it was included in the previous sets. All the card backs have white block backgrounds where the text appears where as the chromium set does not. The International cards do not contain chromium/computer enhancement of the chromium set and were also printed on lower quality card stock, however, unlike the Wal-Mart set, the card fronts are laminated.
