Before
  • Various flashbacks show that ca. 20 years in the past, the Summers family was flying back from vacationing in Alaska. Suddenly the plane was attacked by a Shi’Ar craft. Katherine put Scott and Alex in the only parachute and threw the off the plane, and shortly afterwards she and her husband Chris were beamed aboard the Shi’Ar ship. It was a zoological scouting mission intended to bring in specimen. Emperor D’Ken was quite fond of Kate and forced her to serve as his pleasure maid, while Christopher was sent to the slave pits. After an unknown amount off time he escaped and stormed into the palace where he tried to kill D’Ken, but he was captured. As punishment the Shi’Ar Emperor killed Katherine Anne right in front of his eyes. With his will broken, Christopher Summers was sent to a mining prison colony. (Classic X-Men #15 backstory, Uncanny X-Men #154, 156)

  • Chronology
Classic X-Men #15 backstory:Christopher Summers is working in the mines as he suddenly runs into a female catlike being hunted by the guards. She is captured and beaten and as Chris asks the guards to stop he too is hurt with a neurowhip. Summers then does as told and no longer intervenes as the guards carry their captive away. Ashamed Chris Summers cowers in a corner, though shortly afterwards a reptilian alien and a cyborg approach him. They introduce themselves as Ch’od and Raza, searching for their friend Hepzibah, but the human is too frightened to answer. The two friends pity Chris and leave to continue their search. After they are gone Summers realizes how deep he has fallen and decides to help. He approaches the guards quarter, where Hepzibah is tortured and stabs one of the guards with a blade made of crystal. The other guards fight him and as he is about to be defeated Raza and Ch’od come in and join the battle. Chris Summers frees the cat lady from her shackles and she bites him to lick his blood. Hepzibah explains that she established a lifebond of blood and that they are now comrades till death. After defeating the guards the three aliens explain that they have been fighting and evading the guards for some time, but they need to get away from the prison world, but none of them knows how to fly a ship. Summers, a former air force pilot, joins the group under his old military nickname Corsair.

    In between
  • The team acquired a spaceship, and escaped from the prison colony. Over the years they have established themselves as the Starjammers, a well known group of space pirates. Often they have to hide from their enemies and acquire new food supplies. One such occasion is shown in a flashback of Uncanny X-Men #391.

  • Chronology continued
Uncanny X-Men #104:Aboard the Starjammers‘ ship Ch’od and Corsair discover the nine stars are shifting into certain positions. They fear that this if Emperor D’Ken will continue with his plans everything will cease to be.
Uncanny X-Men #107-108, additional pages in Classic X-Men #14-15:The X-Men just followed the kidnapped princess Lilandra through a stargate and arrive on a barren planet in front of the M’Kraan crystal. Having no idea what they stumbled into, they find themselves surrounded by the Shi'Ar Imperial Guard. A fight is started as D'Ken orders Lilandra's death; although they were completely outnumbered the X-Men hold their own for a while, but the Imperial Guard soon gain the upper hand. The fight is recognized by the Starjammers in their cloaked vessel and they decide to join the battle. While Sikorsky stays behind on the ship with the artificial intelligence Waldo, the team departs to the surface below. With the unexpected help the tide turns again and soon the Imperial Guard lie defeated. The X-Men and the Starjammers introduce themselves to each other, and secretly Phoenix performs a mind scan and finds out that Corsair is Scott's father. Later the Starjammers and the X-Men fight the guardians of the M‘Kraan crystal. Raza, after being informed by Waldo that the fabric of the universe is being disrupted, grabs D'Ken and throws him into the crystal. Once in the crystal, Phoenix discovers that she has to repair the energy matrix within. Although she has the needed powers she fears to get lost and needs two human lifeforces to anchor herself to her physical body. Storm quickly offers herself, but as the other X-Men are not available, Jean asks Corsairs for help. She calls him by his real name Christopher Summers, and also tells that Cyclops is one of his sons, who he believed dead. With the crystal healed everything returned to normal, only D’Ken was left catatonic and insane after an exposure to the crystal’s nightmare field. By right the throne will fall to Lilandra once she is cleared of her faked criminal charges for treason.
Uncanny X-Men #109:Phoenix and Storm talk about Corsair being Scott’s father. Jean says that she promised Corsair to keep it secret, but Ororo is not so sure that this is the right decision.
Uncanny X-Men #154-155:For the first time in 20 years Corsair is flying back to Earth, but is followed by a Shi'Ar Dreadnought. Just as he reaches earth his craft is hit by torpedos and Corsair crash-lands the spaceship into the lake at the Xavier Institute, where Storm and Cyclops rescue him. Corsair reveals to be Scott’s father, which he refuses to believe, but Storm confirms it as she knows about Phoenix’s mindscan; before they can talk anymore Sidrian Hunters attack them. It takes them some time, but finally they can defeat the aliens and afterwards Corsair explains that the Starjammers have been implicated in the kidnap of Lilandra. The trail of the terrorists who really did this led straight to earth and the Shi'Ar are prepared to go to any lengths to rescue her, even if it means destroying Earth. Cyclops is angry with Corsair for having not tried to get in contact during the past twenty years. They have a heated discussion before the blackbird they are flying in gets transported into the Shi'Ar Dreadnought above Earth. They are joined by the rest of the X-Men and told that they have 24 hours to rescue Lilandra otherwise they will send in a force of Imperial Guard and combat troopers. Back on earth, Storm informs Corsair about the death of Phoenix, Cyclops’s lover, but suddenly they are under attack by the Brood and Deathbird. The rest of the X-Men arrive and join the fight but Professor X is captured. In the heat of the battle Cyclops calls Corsair “pop“ and they decide to get to know one an another properly. Before they can free Xavier, Deathbird and the Brood escape with their hostage in a hidden starship. As the ship departs Colossus is found with a spike through his chest.
Uncanny X-Men #156-157:The Starjammers ship arrives at the construction site and beams aboard Corsair and the X-Men. After a brief reunion Colossus is put into a life support module, and Sikorsky, the group's medic, attempts to save his life. They head off after Deathbird's Ship and during the journey Corsair talks with his son about the time, when he and his wife were captured by the Shi’Ar twenty years ago and what happened to them (check above). After catching up with Deathbird's ship, they suddenly are confronted by giant living creature that is being used by the brood as their ship; it simply swallows the Starjammer ship. A pod is attached to the air lock and the brood await their prey. The Starjammers and X-Men blow off the airlock doors and attack the brood. Corsair and Cyclops slip away and rescue Professor X and Lilandra. They rejoin the others and head back to the Starjammer ship. As they reach the ship they see Storm get knocked out into Space by Deathbird. They take off, burst through the living ship’s hull and teleport Storm into the medical bay before she suffocates in outer space. Waldo, the ship’s artificial intelligence, informs everyone that it will take 24 hours to repair the ship and return to earth, however they only have 6 hours left of their deadline. To try and save time the Starjammers and the X-Men work on the repairs to their ship instead of leaving it to the ships robots. During the work Colossus has a relapse from his earlier injuries and Sikorsky has to perform an operation to stop internal bleeding. Lilandra tries to contact the Shi'Ar chancellor but contact gets broken and the signals are then jammed. Professor X tries to mentally alert Nightcrawler and Kitty Pryde on the Shi'Ar command ship, but sensing an anomaly within himself he falls into a coma (he is infected with a Brood egg !). As the deadline is up, Lord Samédàr orders the Shi'Ar to fire a plasma blast on the earth. At the last minute the Starjammer ship arrives and intercepts the blast, where upon Lilandra is able to call off the attack. Colossus is fully healed, thanks to Sikorsky however he reports that he is unable to help Xavier, who may spend the rest of his days as a mindless vegetable.
Uncanny X-Men #158-159:On the X-Men’s temporary base in the Bermuda Triangle, Ch’od, Raza and Hepzibah are dueling with Carol Danvers. Even though there is three of them and she no longer has her superpowers as Ms. Marvel, Carol Danvers is holding her own, and only loses because they all hold her down. Peter Corbeau has been monitoring Carols performance. According to his equipment, although she lost her powers her genetic material remains the same, making her more superior than a normal human. Meanwhile Cyclops and Corsair visit Alex Summers in New Mexico for a family reunion. At first all is fine, but the question comes up, what will happen when the Starjammers leave again. Does Corsair want his boys to accompany him ?
Uncanny X-Men #161:Sikorsky is monitoring the catatonic Xavier on the base located in the Bermuda Triangle, but there is no change in his condition. Cyclops is upset about the professor’s condition and Corsair wants to talk with him about it, but Storm says she will speak with him instead, as they are close friends. Later Xavier awakes from his coma and even though she wants to stay with him, duty calls Lilandra back to her home. A leaving banquet is planned for Lilandra on board her new vessel, and the Starjammers transport the X-men to the ship. However Corsair reports that they will not join the banquet, as the Starjammers carry too many grudges against the Shi’Ar. During the festivities, the X-Men, Carol Danvers and Lilandra are attacked and captured by Deathbird and the Brood.
Uncanny X-Men #163:Lilandra and the X-men have been taken into Brood space.- Xavier takes it very hard and has locked himself in, but Corsair and the Starjammers depart to search for them.
Uncanny X-Men #166:The Starjammers arrive just in time to witness how the X-Men with the help of a newly-empowered Binary and an alien race called the Acanti defeat the Brood Queen on her homeworld. The Starjammers beam the X-Men aboard their ship right as the Brood planet is destroyed. Sikorsky checks them in the medical bay and gives them a clean bill of health. The Acanti have been successful in purging their bodies from Brood elements, however they learned that Xavier too has been infected and he is still on earth !
Excalibur #116:On route back from Brood space the X-Men and Starjammers recognize an injured Sidri colony drifting helplessly in space. Although they are in a hurry to rescue Professor X, the X-Men want to help as they consider life in all it’s form worthy. Still Corsair objects, and as he is the ship’s captain, he orders to pass them by without stopping. The Starjammers have dealt with the Sidri more than once and know the aliens to be dangerous opponents. Anyway Kitty Pride and Nightcrawler secretly enter the medilab and launch a probe with what they believe to be a revitalizing serum.
Uncanny X-Men #167:The X-Men arrive back on earth and storm into the mansion, where they are attacked by the New Mutants, since the two teams never met. During the battle Xavier fully transforms into a Brood and it seems that they are too late to save him. Both teams combine their efforts and can contain the Brood. The shock of being defeated enables Xavier’s personality to temporarily gain dominance again. Aboard The Starjammers ship Sikorsky is able to clone Xavier’s body and transfer his consciousness. Corsair and Scott finally have a chance to talk, and Christopher Summers offers to arrange a meeting with his grandparents. The Starjammers also welcome Gladiator, who informs Lilandra of Deathbird’s successful usurpation of the Shi’ar throne, still Lilandra announces that her first priority is to watch over her lovers recovery.
Special Edition X-Men #1:The Starjammers attend a surprise birthday party for Kitty Pryde.

    In between
  • The team stays in earth’s orbit for some time, so that Corsair has the chance to spend some time with his two sons and arrange a meeting with their grandparents in Alaska. They are picked up by a charter pilot named Madelyne Pryor who looks exactly like Jean Grey. Scott and Madelyne soon start a relationship and she joins the three Summers when they travel to Wolverine’s wedding in Japan, only to see Mariko call off the ceremony. (Uncanny X-Men #168, 173)
  • Lilandra helps Xavier with his training and is happy to see his legs getting stronger day by day. However she is worried about her empire that is now in Deathbird’s hands.
  • Carol Danvers was among the X-Men when they had been captured by the Brood. They took great interest in her unique genetic structure, a hybrid of human and Kree. The Brood’s tampering unlocked Carol’s full potential and she was transformed into Binary with energy powers of near unlimited potential. For a time it seemed that she would stay at Xavier’s mansion, though Carol felt that she did not belong. On earth she was constantly reminded of the things she lost when Rogue absorbed her powers and personality. Even though Xavier had restored Carol’s memories, the emotional ties were missing. This became painfully clear when Carol was informed of Captain Mar-Vell’s death, but could not grief as she felt nothing. When Rogue asked for Xavier’s help, and she was granted to stay, Binary left the mansion after a short fight with the former villainess. (Uncanny X-Men #164, Marvel Fanfare #24, Uncanny X-Men #171)

Uncanny X-Men #174:Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor watch an earth rise from the bridge of the Starjammer ship. Corsair and Hepzibah interrupt them, Hepzibah comments on how Corsair and Cyclops are alike before Corsair gives Madelyne a tour of the ship. He introduces her to the crew and the newest member of the Starjammers, Binary. Binary and Cyclops talk about her argument with the X-Men for taking Rogue in, and that she wants to roam the galaxies because she feels that is her home more than earth now. Corsair asks Scott whether he wants to leave with them or not , but Cyclops hasn't decided yet. On earth Lilandra informs Xavier that she will have to return to her Empire and try to wrest the throne from Deathbird and she wants him to accompany her, but he in turn has his duties for his students.
Uncanny X-Men #175:Corsair attends the wedding of Scott Summers and Madelyne Pryor, and wishes that Scott's mom was their to see the wedding. Binary too is among the guests, whilst the rest of the Starjammers watch on from their Ship.
Uncanny X-Men #177:The Starjammers depart to fight the Shi’Ar empire under Deathbird’s rule. Corsair wishes his two sons Alex and Scott goodbye, and Lilandra and Xavier have to part ways. All of them fear that this might have been the last time they saw each other as the Starjammers will face overwhelming odds when fighting the Shi’Ar empire.
New Mutants #19:On route to earth, where he will become a member of the New Mutants, Warlock passes the Starjammer. The team reads the alien with their scanners and also register that he is hunted by a bigger version of himself (Magus). Waldo calculates that their course will bring them to earth, but as they are too fast, there is nothing that the Starjammers can do in time.
Uncanny X-Men #200-201:From afar Lilandra senses that Xavier is in grave danger (he overstrained himself after recent injuries and is dying). Corsair and Lilandra use a stargate to teleport to the mansion, but only find Madelyne who tells them that the X-Men are currently in Paris. The two Starjammers transport back to the planetoid with the stargate which needs to get recalibrated with the coordinates of Paris in France. Raza and Ch’od are impressed how Binary can power up the stargate with her energy powers alone, as suddenly Hepzibah and Sikorsky call from the ship that they are under attack by some Shi’Ar crafts. So far the shields are holding, but Waldo warns that they can’t take this kind of fire for long. Below in the surface Corsair and Lilandra are eager to teleport for a second time, although they don’t want to endanger the others and tell them to leave without them – still the Starjammers stand united. Lilandra and Corsair arrive in Paris where Magneto cares for the dying Xavier. After the master of magnetism accepts to become the school’s headmaster, Xavier is beamed away with his saviors. Sikorsky can heal the professor without effort, but when the Starjammers inspect their ship they realize that they are lucky to be still in one piece. In this condition they can not use faster than light travel, and also they can’t fight their way to a guarded stargate. Their is no way to return Xavier to earth, he has to stay with the team for the near future, if not forever – but at least he is with his true love Lilandra.
Uncanny X-Men #203:Rachel attempts to end the threat of the Beyonder by erasing the entire universe. To do so she takes the essences of her teammates and travels to the M’Kraan Crystal. On the way she also takes the lifeforces of the Starjammers crew, but finally Storm is able to talk Rachel out of her plan.
New Mutants #50:The Starjammers have arrived at a bar on a neutral fringeworld. Corsair and Binary try to bargain for supplies and needed components to repair their ship, while Xavier and Lilandra have a drink. Suddenly he picks up a familiar thought pattern and running outside he witnesses a slave auction. On the podium he becomes aware of his student Illyana Rasputin who is about to be sold. He demands her freedom and soon a fight starts. Binary and Corsair join, blowing their cover and soon they leave the planet with Illyana, who is checked by Sikorsky. After waking up she explains that the New Mutants were attacked by the Magus, Warlock’s father, and to save them she tried to teleport her team away, though they got lost in some alternate futures (New Mutants #48-49). Illyana herself ended up in Limbo, where after constantly fighting the demon S’ym, who too is infected with the transmode Virus, she finally rejected all her sorcerous might. With Xavier telepathically helping Illyana to control her teleportation disks the team tries to rescue the other New Mutants, but as they emerge in Limbo, they are again attacked by S’ym. Only Illyana can stop him by picking up the soulsword and becoming partially demon again. Departing to locate the team, she can again leave the sword behind, but it seems to be only a temporary solution. After picking up all the new Mutants, the Starjammers help them to fight the Magus, who followed to one such alternate time. Though in the end it is Xavier who wins the battle, as he supports the individual mutant‘s powers and inspires Warlock and Cypher to develop a techno-organic genetic virus that deals with the Magus.
New Mutants #51:In outer space, the Starjammers inspect their ship and come to the conclusion that they would not last in another fight before they can get the needed spare parts for repairs. At the same time Xavier, monitored by Lilandra and Sikorsky, psi-propes the New Mutants and learns about all the events in his absence. Seeing memories of the Mutant Massacre and his original students as the anti-mutant organization X-Factor he decides that he has to return to earth with his students. Later some of the new mutants assist the Starjammers with some repair jobs, but Illyana has a breakdown. She refuses to teleport once more, as this will function only by traveling through Limbo, where her darkside personality is. Suddenly the Starjammers are under attack by some approaching vessels. The ship can only bypass the fires as Xavier is able to mentally read his opponents and where they will shoot. Now Xavier is in a no-win situation. Actually he wants to return to earth and help Illyana with her problem, but he knows that abandoning the Starjammers right now would mean their certain death as the ship can’t be allowed to get directly hit. Xavier makes his choice and orders Karma to possess Illyana and transport them home. The journey makes Illyana pick up her demon parts again, and back on earth she is very angry at the professor and her teammates.
X-Men Spotlight on ... Starjammers #1-2:Xavier links up with the ship and mentally enforces the shields, but after the vessel is hit various times, the professor experiences some energy feedback and is taken to the medical bay. Meanwhile the Starjammers learn from their attackers that Shi’Ar Empress Deathbird is trying to find the “Phalkon“, a legendary force of power; knowing that this would end their rebellion, they try to beat her to it. They split up and uncover parts of some map on different planets, even Cr+eee can help as one pod is hidden on his native planet. Xavier’s mind merges with Waldo and he mentally guides the away teams, but the extended absence leaves the body weak and finally it dies. The body is placed in a stasis tube. Later it becomes clear that the Phalkon is located on earth and immediately both Deathbird and the Starjammers race there. Lilandra’s older sister arrives there first and finds the Phalkon to be nothing else than the Phoenix Force. She catches Rachel unaware and places her in a power leeching machine as the Starjammers arrive as do Phoenix’s teammates Excalibur. A short battle caused by a misunderstanding stops when the two teams finds themselves under attack of the whole assembled Imperial Guard. During the fight Deathbird tries to use her machine, but she is observed by Lilandra who knocks the throne usurper out. With the empress injured Gladiator orders the Guard to retreat and the fight ends as quickly as it started. After Rachel is freed of the leeching device, it is discovered that some residue energy of the Force is still inside. The Starjammers use it to revive Xavier’s body, and he is also temporarily receives some of it’s vast telekinetic ability. Dressed as Dark Phoenix, Xavier uses this excessive force to inspire a rebellion on some planet that belong to the Shi’Ar empire. Binary acts more and more arrogant, she thinks that she is more powerful than the rest of the group, much to her teammates dislike.
Excalibur #17:During the so called Cross-Time-Caper, Excalibur is lost in the multiverse and they try to get back home by jumping from one alternate reality to the next. During one of these occasions, the team is on a drifting basis filled with strange people; believing themselves to be in yet another parallel world, they trigger their next jump. Right as they are dematerializing the see the Starjammers and Professor X moving in; apparently the place they were in was a space station in the main Marvel Universe, but unfortunately it’s too late to stop the jump.

    In between
  • Not before long, Binary leaves the group, as it was already foreshadowed in X-Men Spotlight on ... Starjammers. Ch‘od mentions her departure in Wonder Man #8. Carol will be seen next during Operation : Galactic Storm, where she helps Quasar to cleanse earth’s sun of dangerous sunspot activity. The incident causes her heavy burn injuries and she will be taken to Avengers mansion to recover.

  • Chronology continued
Uncanny X-Men #275-277:The Starjammers and Lilandra, with the help of the X-Men attack and defeat Deathbird and her Imperial Guard. They are victorious and Lilandra is named Shi'Ar Majestrix again. However Xavier and the Starjammers had been replaced by a group of Warskrulls, trying to gain the Shi'Ar Empire through telepathically controlling Lilandra. Upon learning this the X-Men team up with Deathbird and fight the imposter Starjammers, before finally the real Xavier, who among other telepaths, was being used as a power source for the Skrull's power-duplicating machine, is able to free himself and help turn the tide of the fight. Deathbird was no longer interested in the boring duties of running such the vast Shi’Ar Empire and gives up the throne to Lilandra. Xavier accompanies his students back to earth.
Wonder Man #8:During the intergalactic war between the Kree and the Shi’Ar called Operation : Galactic Storm Lilandra employs the Starjammers to transport a “Nega-Portal“ into their enemies galaxy. Because the travel route contains two stargates near earth’s sun, Corsair refuses the task, since he does not want to endanger his native planet; though the rest of the team accept the job. The Avengers Vision and Wonder man hide inside the device but during the journey they are detected by the Starjammers. A fight starts, but is cut short, as becomes clear that the “portal“ is nothing else but a bomb. The Starjammers try their best, but as they are already near the Stargate they can’t stop anymore; their only way to prevent it crossing the gate is to jettison the bomb, which leaves it drifting in space, while the Starjammer ship crosses the gate. The bomb with the two Avengers will later be picked up by the Skrulls, who will transport it to it’s intended location and set it off – killing 90 % of the Kree population.
Avengers (1st series) #350-351:Hepzibah and Raza have been called to a secret meeting with a former Kree general. He wants them to assassinate the Avenger Black Knight, because he killed the Supreme Intelligence during Operation : Galactic Storm and offers them two hundred million credits. Hepzibah is willing to accept, but Raza is a man of honor and refuses. That is when the Kree takes a certain medallion out of his pocket, which Raza recognizes as belonging to his long lost son Rion. Raza had last seen him as a five year old, when they were both taken to the slave pits. He is promised the safe return of his child for performing the kill. Later back at their ship, the pair suggest Corsair a visit to earth to check on their former teammate Binary. Ch’od claims to know Raza’s true intention, but he was only joking as he assumes a romantic interest to be the case. Reaching Avengers mansion the team is surprised to find Xavier and Cyclops there too; they have been discussing the threat of Genosha with the Avengers. During a party, Raza slips away to attack the Black Knight who is making repairs in the hangar. At first the two combatants are evenly matched, but Raza forces the Knight to drop his weapon by threatening to harm Crystal’s child Luna. The Black Knight does as told and is then stabbed in the gut by Raza. The others come in as the heard the noise and immediately a fight starts. Hercules and Thor pick on Raza and Ch’od helps his teammate. As the outer wall of the building is breached Raza runs away and Ch’od follows, while the others get the Knight to medical attention. The Avengers wonder what caused the battle and pick a search squad for the two Starjammers; Corsair and Binary want to be part of it too. In turn Hepzibah offers to remain behind as hostage at Avengers mansion till the situation can be cleared. The team hunts Raza and Ch’od down and Binary finally gets through to Raza; he explains why he did assassinate the Knight and shows Carol the medallion. Binary melts the piece of jewelry and explains to the rest of the Avengers that she recognized the device as a Kree memory implant inducer and that Raza can not be held responsible, but in fact she is lying for her old teammate. Back at the mansion Crystal summons an inhuman doctor and with the help of Sikorsky they can save the Black Knight‘s life. Later Hepzibah sneaks in the sickbay and attempts to earn her cash by poisoning the Black Knight, but before she can perform the crime the others return with Raza. Both teams thank Binary for her diplomacy and offer her to rejoin, but she declines both Corsair and the Black Widow. Instead she wants to rediscover her roots and visit her parents.
Excalibur #68-70:Lilandra employs the Starjammers to capture one of the greatest criminals in Shi’Ar history. As the team attacks Excalibur at Braddock Manor, Excalibur at first believe that it is Phoenix they are after, however the warrant is for Cerise. The team is ready to fight for her sake, but she accepts to accompany the Starjammers of her own free will. A small strikeforce, consisting of Nightcrawler, Rachel, Kylun and Micromax, follows through the portable stargate. After Cerise is shipped off to a prison colony, they hide aboard the Starjammer’s vessel and overhear a transmission between Corsair and Lilandra. The Starjammer captain is not so sure of Cerise‘s guilt, but Lilandra considers the case closed and ends the contact. Revealing to have known that they were hiding aboard all along, Corsair offers Excalibur to clear up the circumstances of Cerise’s crime and they beam down to the prison colony. There they finally learn the truth, Cerise destroyed the warship and she was working on, when her commander ordered genocide and nobody would listen to Cerise’s voice of reason. Because of this new evidence, Cerise’s convict is changed to serving as part of Lilandra’s adviser staff; the Starjammers accompany her to Chandilar.
Incredible Hulk #415-416:The Starjammers have been sent by Lilandra to investigate the large amount of activity at the Troyjan borders, as they share borders with the Sh'iar. They detect the creation of a Troyan jumphole and find the Hulk floating there unconscious. The Troyans had kidnapped some of the Pantheon and the green Goliath went after them. The Starjammers ponder helping him, and once the Silver Surfer shows up, they join forces against the aliens.
X-Men Unlimited #32:The Starjammers are hired to rescue an imprisoned princess. To Hepzibah’s discomfort, Corsair accepts and they easily retrieve Tallibone and bring her home. Yet it turns out, that she was imprisoned by her father for constantly trying to kill him to gain his empire. The princess now follows her invasion plans again and also involves the Starjammers, by announcing to marry Corsair while Hepzibah is sentenced to death. The Starjammers have enough of her and rectify their error. They sedate Tallibone and bring her back to the King.
(Note : The placing of this story is difficult, judging Hepzibah’s hair and costume it clearly is after Uncanny X-Men #377, Waldo’s presence proves that it happens before the Starjammers LS – the story can fit in anywhere between these two points)
Starjammers #1-4:The Starjammers no longer work for Lilandra, but have decided to oppose the Shi’Ar again after discovering how bad they treat the conquered Kree. They have found new allies on some neutral worlds called the Clench, who even provided them with a pilot named Keeyah to replace the destroyed artificial intelligence Waldo. For quite some time they have been rescuing refugees, earning them the hatred of Shi’Ar military, though Lilandra herself tries to prevent any major strikes against them as she was once their teammate. During one of their flights the Starjammers discover a vessel of the Uncreated, an unknown race currently at war with the Shi’Ar. Uncovering their log book, the Starjammers learn the history and purpose of these deadly aliens. They are a former slave race, who slew their god and creator, thus calling themselves Uncreated. They consider praying a dangerously backward behavior and intend to destroy any culture that practices some kind of religion, including the Shi'ar. Hepzibah is happy, her hatred for the “birdies“ has been growing every day and she wants to see them defeated, but Corsair wonders which of the two races are the greater evil : The Shi’Ar who force other races into “marriage“ or the Uncreated who kill and leave unoccupied space for the Phalanx. When it gets clear that the final battle will be fought in inhabited Clench space, the Starjammers decide that they no longer can stand by. They use the data from the log book and feed it into so called mirror throwers to create a huge image of the Uncreated’s god. The Uncreated are hit by their inferiority complex again and commit suicide. Thanking the Starjammers for their help, Lilandra cancels the criminal charges against the space pirates and also is forced into a non-attacking agreement with the Clench planets. The Starjammers celebrate their victory, but Corsair plans to retire and hopes that his lover Hepzibah will overcome her hatred.

  • The story ended with Corsair deciding to retire with Hepzibah. Whatever became of this plan is unknown, when the group next appears they are without their pilot Keeyah and have been captured by the Collector.

Wolverine (2nd series) #135-138:Inside a prison cell, Corsair and his followers are worried about the length of time that one of their own members, Raza, had been gone for a long time. Soon, prison guards return Raza back into the cell after concluding the tests that The Collector's followers had conducted on him. Raza informs Corsair that he had learned nothing new of why they were being helped captives, but did notice that The Collector's elite patrols were patrolling the corridors as if they were seeking something or someone. The team searched the vast base for Logan, but has already started the prisoners to revolt and they can’t find him in the confusion, still his destination is clear; to free the prisoners, Wolverine would need to shut down the planet’s security system. The Starjammers arrive to late to prevent the shut down and as all prison cells are opened, the planet’s cloaking field is also disabled, since the two systems were linked to each other. Raza tells Wolverine that he has made a terrible mistake, because the Collector was only trying to protect the last survivors of almost extinct races and now they are vulnerable to outside attack, in the form of the just arriving Galactus. While the Starjammers use their spaceship to escape, Logan tries to help some of the many aliens to stop Galactus, but they fail. Right before the prison planet goes down, the Starjammers beam Logan aboard their craft and bring him home.
Galactus the Devourer #5-6:As Chandilar is under attack by Galactus, the Starjammers are among the many heroes that rush to aid Majestrix Lilandra. After the world Devourer perished, the team took part in the following celebrations.
Deadpool (2nd series) #43:While stranded in outer space, Deadpool gets offered a ride with the bypassing Starjammers. However he declines, as he doesn’t want to get dragged into one of their space adventures. Fortunately for the mercenary the team radios his location to a nearby freighter.
Uncanny X-Men #387:As head of the Intergalactic Council, Lilandra was forced to turn earth into a Maximum Security prison planet, criminals from many different alien races were sent there. Somewhere in Shi'Ar space she is aboard the Starjammer, for a secret meeting with Xavier. Tempers flare between Lilandra and Xavier as both have risked a lot for this meeting. Corsair tells them to stop quarrelling and get on with the discussion. Xavier asks Corsair what's wrong and Corsair tells him how he is upset over what is happening to Earth and his son's apparent death. Lilandra asks Xavier to find her sister, Deathbird and in return Xavier asks her to save Earth before finishing contact.

    Afterwards
  • Being informed that his son Cyclops has been found alive and safe and with Apocalypse‘s essence cleared from his system, Corsair visited earth to spend some personal time with Scott in Uncanny X-Men #391.
