1) Upon being mutated by the magical ruby, Cain’s clothes were also transformed into this red-brown armor of some unknown metal. The helmet is psi-shielded and attached to the harness by a set of screws and rivets. The middle area (often colored red) of the outfit is made of some more flexible material to allow for enough movement during battle. It seems Cain got himself a few spare outfits similar to the original armor over the years. [X-Men (1st series) #12] As he only found out later, the armor is modeled after the true looks of the Cyttorak deity. [X-Men Unlimited #12]

2) After officially joining the X-Men, Cain started wearing a black and gold version of his armor to reflect his inner change. [Uncanny X-Men #426]
