Storm also did it in some random issue that was set in some alternate future...not sure if that counts. She basically died and came back as elemental.

Ages of Apocalypse. I remember because that's literally the single source every argument about Storm being an omega comes from LOL

And Polaris and/or Magneto (I forget which) did it in X-Men: The End. At the end of the day, any fan can make any argument about their fan-favourite being an Omega, which is why I dislike the terminology. I mean, imagine the rabid Maggott fans who start saying he's an omega because eenie or meanie survived his death? Or that Cyclops potentially is because he could possibly some day maybe in the far future if he survives that long, become a living solar battery and not need food, water or sleep to survive? It's utterly ridiculous to argue it, without any canonical back-up.

I don't think she's considered an Omega, but Firestar did something similar in an alternate universe as well. Her body was composed entirely of microwave energy.

Well, when Joseph died he became one with earths magnetic field. That kind of counts yes?

I'm pretty sure these distinctions were ripped directly off of some obscure back-alley of that one Marvel Wikia whose facts are sometimes great but other times so horribly out of touch with what's really happening in its corresponding universe that it's embarrassing.

Well first, Joseph's powers were altered by Astra, so they aren't exactly complete matches. Second, his powers destroyed his physical body while his mind and essence disseminated into the planet. It isn't the same kind of thing that happened to X-man where he was in some form still alive.
