What's the deal with her fingernails? And when I say that I mean sometimes she is shown with her adamantium fingernails and other times she is shown as having blade-like fingers (I have a feeling this may be down to the movie as it was around that time she got a make-over and the fingernails became more prominant)
And when it comes down to her fingernails....where are they stored? If they are foot-long and adamantium then she shouldn't be able to bend her hands and fingers....

Well, in the comics, Deathstrike is a cyborg.  So differences in her appearance can be due to having her cybernetic body rebuilt.

the movie version.... um, yeah....

Spiral made her a cyborg so she had access to all sorts of extradimensional technology & magic that allows Deathstrike to function in ways that terestrial science says is impossible.
It's always bothered me that Deathstrike's fingers are usually just presented as flesh colored & extra pointy. If her adamantium talons are always covered by skin, she can't cut anything. We know she lacks adamantium skin because takes plenty of battle damage. Her talons  ought to be a nice shiny silver like adamantium is. That's how I repaint her action figures & lead figurines. It's one of the few things I prefer from X-Men 2 to the comics, although I think Kubert & Adams set a precedent for it.

Maybe her talons are just flesh tone.

This is possible yet not aesthetically pleasing. When drawn & colored as such it looks like she has no fingernails, just really long & sharp  flesh fingers.

This is one of my issues. Sometimes she seems to alter her fingers into becoming razor-sharp blades and other times she uses her adamantium fingernails. I can get that it's just a quirk of whichever writer is using her at the time.
