How does the brothers compare? I know Thunderbird had some degree of super strength and agility, but did he have more powers? And i really have no idea at what levels. Could he compare to Luke Cage? Spider-man? Beast? Wolverine?
And so for his little brother, Warpath. At some point he seemed to be quite the powerhouse with class 90 strength, the ability to fly, superlevel senses and super speed and maybe more? Nowadays he seems far less formidable but again, i have no idea to what degree. Is it the same now as his older brother? Do we know what happened to his über powers?

John Proudstar didn't get much time to develop, but we know he had Class 5 strength (roughly half-Spider-Man), superhuman speed (could outrace a buffalo), endurance, reflexes, and instinctive hunting and tracking skills.
As Thunderbird II, James Proudstar started off with the same Class 5 strength and superhuman endurance as his brother. As he grew up and his body developed, however, he reached Class 90 strength levels by the time he joined X-Force as Warpath. About halfway through X-Force's run he began developing his powers further with superhuman speed and senses. Following the six month gap in the X-Men Revolution, his X-gene rebooted and gave him even greater strength and the power of flight.
Since he joined the X-Men in UXM #475, his powers have appeared substantially reduced. One could assume the Decimation reversed his secondary mutation like it did with Iceman and Black Tom, but no official explanation has been given. He's now treated at around Class 5 to 10 strength levels, and SEEMS unable to fly.

Thanks, great as usual Monolith! You wrote he had instinctive hunting and tracking skills, but what does this mean? Is it a power or a skill? Does it mean that he was like Wolverine with heighted sences, or that he just knew how to track and hunt, similar to Spider-man and his spider sense when danger is near? Does Warpath have this to?
It would be nice to see a Thunderbird vs Kraven - hunt show off!

One could deduce it is both: his mutation makes him far more superior to men, including enhanced senses. As an Apache-native he was raised according to his heritage, wich include hunting and tracking. His superior senses just makes his teachings that much easier then any other man with the same training.

He definitely has heightened senses of perception. That's why Sledge chose him to breach the dimensions and bring back Vanisher. James was less likely to succumb to sensory overload since he already perceived things on a greater spectrum than humans. His physical endurance was another reason for Sledge's choice.

Warpath flying was soooo stupid… About as stupid as Magma flying today… I thought they said that instead of actually flying that he actually just jumping really high… Maybe I'm wrong… Either way… Jaimie and Amara's flying is STU-PID as hell…

I read somewhere, I think wikipedia, that James is embarrassed by his ability to fly and that's why he's not seeing using it anymore.

Embarassed to fly.... Isn't that a bit the same as saying that Emma is a telekinetic, but ignores this ability out of fear to be compared to a corpse?

Well, there's some slight evidence to suggest that is the case. During Messiah War, somebody mentioned Warpath flying and he quickly hushed them. So while he may or may not still retain the ability, there is evidence that he is/was indeed embarrassed by it.

Didn't he also fly some of the team to the United Nations building right before they returned to the present? The art got really difficult to interpret sometimes in Messiah War, but I thought I remembered Archangel and Warpath both carrying team members as the succumbed to "time sickness".

He did, and he also "flew" out the torture device to which Stryfe had him strapped in that same crossover.

Maybe he isn't that good of a flier like some of the others, so that's his reason for being embarrassed? I could see him flying..right into a wall.

He also just might feel ridiculous doing it. James has never been one of the more super-hero oriented mutants. He was a freedom fighter and a covert operative most of the time.
He already wears spandex, it's possible the flying would be too far over the line of Superhero Cheese for him.

He is a kind of practical guy though, and i would think that flying would be a great way to get things done. Maybe takes a toll on him so he can't focus properly?
