Thought nobody could do a worse Punisher story than Remender's Frankencastle? Well Frank Tieri sure is going to try! Space: PunisherAlso Spider-Man preview spoilers too.

It damn well better be like adventures of like a miniaturized Carnage loose in someone's body or else the Carnage symbiote takes over one of the infants or small children in the current mini to escape and it's mini Carnage! lol.
Tieri is certainly hit and miss. Hopefully this is more hit than miss. Sounds interesting at least.

"X-Treme X-Men" spins out of Greg Pak's "Astonishing X-Men" run, and features writing by Pak with art by Steven Segovia.
"Greg specifically wanted me to tell you Dazzler is at the center of this book," said Brevoort.
I guess we have our answers.
Oh, and I'm not sure how I feel about Carol's new hairdo.
And oh, Brevoort confirmed that there won't be a reboot
Edit: Never mind, I didn't realize that both Carol and X-Treme are already being discussed in their respective news threads, lol

I'm sure a lot of people like myself groaned when they read, or heard if there, that Hope's family still won't be answered at all in AvX so there will still be that 'mystery' afterwards so I'm guessing she ain't gonna die anytime soon.

Hurray! That's one less big fear! But the X-men roster probably get a reshuffle again (not even a year after Schism) and some losses/casualties, but that hasn't to be all bad. eXited again what will happen now a reboot is out of the question.

Next Big Thing
Hightlights:
Gischler is off X-Men. Brian Wood is on, team will include Storm, Domino, Colossus, Psylocke, and Pixie among others perhaps.
Spencer is off Ultimate X-Men with issue #12, Brian Wood takes over from there.
Red Hulk takes on the Mayan world ending prophecy alongside Alpha Flight and Machine Man! (That looks awesome)
Sam Humphries, the new co-writer of Ultimates, takes over fully alone this July.
Big plans for Cosmic coming by end of year or start of next, mention of 'Guardian' stuff to come.
Thunderbolts becomes Dark Avengers with issue #175, with Luke Cage leading the Dark Avengers. Cover seems to include Ragnarok, Skaar, and the guy pretending to be Spider-Man (can't recall his name)
Asked about the fate of Thunderbolts with this change to Dark Avengers, Brevoort said it doesn't necessarily indicate the end of Thunderbolts but does indicate something for the team perhaps.

The final issue of the recent Alpha Flight series did say that the team would be making an appearance in the middle of the year - so this is very exciting.

Ok Brian Woods is really moving in fast. Im really glad Domino isnt going any where. Pixie is a nice addition, although i worry that with Gischler gone that might mean no more Jubilee. Gischler has really had the best time with her and i hate to see her carted off into Limbo after so much focus.
Parker is one of my favorite writers, im glad hos Hulk title is still going strong. Interesting choice of changing Thunderbolts. He said recently that he's been building towards something so i can't wait to see the transition. And yes Alpha Flight, A-Bomb, Machine Man and Red Hulk looks so cool together. Very 80s vibe to it

Jubilee is gone from the title. Wood revealed in an interview about his two new titles that editorial mandated her removal from the title with his taking over. He chose to dump Warpath on his own.

Shame about Jubilee but hopefully this means that there are other plans for her. I'd take Pixie over Warpath any day so that's great, really happy she's in the core team.

I also hope this means their are bigger plans for Jubilee. Perhaps she'll become an Avenger? Given recent events and attitudes of mutants toward other threatened species, I could see her not identifying with the mutant cause as much anymore. But she's still a heroine to the core.

Poor Warpath, writers in the last few years keep bringing him back to use but soon as they are gone back to limbo he goes lol. The only shame is that with him and Jubilee gone this book is back to mostly characters that are already in other books except Domino and Pixie. Would be quite the time to pick up other characters that are on Utopia but I don't think the writers are interested in them.

Jubilee I could see taking a step up to a bigger team. Maybe not to the Avengers team, but say that Hope ends up not being on the X-tinction team anymore? Or that Namor is indisposed and unable to throw his weight in? Or Emma just needs another stand-in and Psylocke is unavailable? Jubilee could easily step in there with her wealth of experience, and if anybody could vouch for her now, it would be Storm.
Warpath, since he was not slated to drop from that book, might be a harder sell as to where he'd end up, but if Cyclops has nothing for him to do... Warpath could distance himself from everything and go work for an independent agency, like ARMOR.

Its going to be interesting to see what roster of Alpha Flight Parker will use.
Cool that Gage's focus is on X-23, Dust, and Surge. I hope we get a Hercules vs Sebastian Shaw fight.
Since I don't read Ultimates, I have to ask, is anyone excited about Kitty taking center stage in that book? And about the writer change on Ultimates?

I could see Warpath ending up with x-factor, that seems to be a safe place to go if you want a break from the main x-men crowd.
Jubilee, the problem is that she is still a vampire. somehow it would have been better if they had found a cure for her and in doing got her old power set back. I liked the whole vampire arc, but it has it's limitations, and can not be brought out all the time and having a vamp on the team has it as a constant issue to be dealt with. If a writer somehow was able to reverse Jubs, then I could see her in a frontline comic title like uncanny.
But X-men looks to be a cool book with Wood. Looking forward to it

While I wouldn't mind a David written Warpath. That would mean: Polaris, Havok, M, Banshee, Layla, Madrox, Longshot, Strong Guy, Rictor, Shatterstar, Pip (?), and Warpath? Even David would have a hard time giving everyone some talking space lol.

X-Factor could become a mini Utopia!! Or it kind of already is with how many are there now. David just seems like such a nice guy, just letting anyone come on in or drop on by. Hope he's cooked enough food to feed everyone!

Well Kitty being center spot on Ultimate X-Men isn't a big change, as Wood mentioned in the interview she started out as the spotlight really for the book under Spencer it's just been a few months without her or the other cast there with the focus on other characters.
The writer change for Ultimates is harder to comment on as he hasn't started co-writing yet. Then again that will still be hard to tell with since Hickman will still be there till July. Humphries has said before that he'll still be working off of Hickman plots somewhat just changing them a bit to fit his style. Never read anything from him, not even sure what he has written.
