Topic: Im Sorry?!... But Where is Charles Xavier!!!! Posted: 22-Mar-2012 at 1:36am |
I was just thinking the morning, where the hell is he these days?
I remember that he's obviously off taking time with David Haller etc.. but with everything thats going on and what not.. why the HELL would he not have more of a presence in the marvel universe..
I hope at least he comes back for the AVX thing.

Yes he will appear in AvX, he visited Logan right before his school opened and then left. Since then not much "big" stuff has happened to warrant him to come out of retirement.

I would like to see Xavier just retire but Magneto needs to as well. They have been friends/foes for so long that its weird to see one so active and the other not.

They really blew their opportunity to kill him off in Messiah Complex.

True. It would have been very appropriate for him to go out at that time given the events that would follow. He could still have a big role to play in a future reuniting of the X-Men, but I doubt it. Edit: Also why is this in Shi'ar space? Did Mastermind expect him to show up in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen or something?

It's just really awkward that they never explained on panel (as far as I remember) why Xavier was missing at such a crucial juncture.

But even just the fact that he's retired.. seems a bit silly.. he was the centre of the Xmen forever... I can understand Scott taking the reigns etc.. but he should still be a prescence.

Spending time off some where with Legion and actually possibly having something resembling a "normal" father-son relationship isn't too far-fetched. Besides nearly every other X-Man has retired at one time or another to try a "normal" life. Why would Xavier be exempt from that? Even founders of companies step down for a little bit.
THen again perhaps Six is right and they should have killed him at the end of Messiah Complex? *shrug*

But so far we're just assuming he's retired to spend time with his son. He just completely dropped out of the narrative bar one cameo. For all we know he could've been killed by the Orphan Maker so Nanny could adopt Legion.

Meanwhile the X-Men were too busy having pissing contests between themselves and the Avengers to notice!
