Topic: Gillen Talks AvX VS and More Posted: 03-Apr-2012 at 6:03pm |

The best thing you can do to Greg Land is make him draw strange and exotic stuff. Him drawing a Colossus vs Red Hulk fight might actually work. There aren't any women to give porn faces too and no ruggedly handsome men to give more porn faces too. That preview page (for the fight anyway) looks awesome. I love Gillen. Honestly if you don't care one way or another about AvX you could probably still read Uncanny and not miss out on anything that is going on with the Utopia X-Books and I love that.

I wonder if Colossus is going to be out of control in the end. He seems to be going to fight way more than anyone else, Red Hulk, Spider-Man, Hulk and Thing are the one's we know beforehand. Quite a lot for a formely kind of nice guy who really don't like to fight.

I'm looking forward to seeing Colossus use this new Juggernaut form against Rulk.

I wasn't aware he was going to rumble with Banner as well. Where did you see this?

I never thought I'd see the day where Colossus could be over exposed. Heh.

Hah, no but Cyttorak must be pleased! He is up and running to fight other avengers obviously, so he can't loose to bad. My guess is he will plummel both Red, Thing and Spider-Man, maybe going all in Juggernaut mode. And then they bring in Hulk to try to stop him.

No such thing as overexposed if the stories are good...

True and I do hope the stories are entertaining here. Fear itself was kind of a letdown.

The fear itself tie-in issues? Those were awesome to me, showed that Gillen knows how to write epic fights.

Gillen's Fear Itself tie-in was significantly better than Fear itself.

Gillien wrote the Uncanny tie-in, yes? I just recall Captain America somehow using Thor's hammer. Terribad.

Well then i recommend reading thOse issues. Gillen's story was fun and works towards Cyclops' attitude in AvX. Check out his X-Position to hear more.

I concur. Uncanny X-men Fear Itself was the Gillen's best Uncanny story arc till the renumbering. You don't even have to read the main Fear Itself story, its completly on its own. The change of Colossus in Collossonaut is moving, touching and exciting. In the end we also see a very Magneto like Cyclops teaching the mayor of San Fransisco a lesson. Awsome. I didn't even bother Lands artwork that much in these numbers (540-543)
