These were two of the profiles I was most looking forward to. As I knew next to nothing about either character...though I still managed to guess both. Booyah!

I'm very eagerly awaiting the reveal of #1 but I have a feeling i'm going to have to wait till the last reveal. Boo.
I guessed these 2 pretty easily but I can see why Gosamyr would be hard for some, as she is not popular and her time was fleeting. I find her to be rather imaginative but am not a fan at the same time.

I've never read an issue with either Kylun or Gosamyr. The only reason I was able to guess Gosamyr was because Sunspot's spotlight was released recently and she was in it so I looked her up and saw her picture (the one that matched the silhouette).
Kylun, I first looked up when the 198 Files came out and he was one of the mutants who retained his mutant powers. I went "who?" and looked him up as well. I don't know why they kept his powers, he has yet to make an appearance. Did somebody actually want to use him again?

Actually, shortly after the start of X-Treme X-Men, I was hoping we'd get to see Kylun again. Beast was just taken out of the team due to editorial mandate, and Psylocke had died... and I thought Kylun would have been a good replacement, being furry and wielding blades as well. After all he was created by Claremont, who was writing the title, and I imagined some great contrast between this "primitive" warrior-type who grew up in a world with magic, opposed to Sage and her sophisticated high-tech. She'd certainly have been annoyed if Kylun would have been able to figure out some of Destiny's prophecies because of his unique background, when she could not.

I was hoping Kylun would reemerge in recent issues of Uncanny X-Force. It would have been fitting if he were called to rejoin his Excalibur roots. His mystic swords and fighting prowess would have been a good match against the invaders of Otherworld.
I should have e-mailed Remender.

Re-Post from Page 5:
You'd ruin your surprise and our cool revelation announcements if you did, wouldn't you?
Or, in other words.... Patience is a virtue.

HA! I guessed Dreamqueen.. I was truly stumped on Gosamyr, and #8. At least I know for a fact I got six right, but I am out.. :( Nice to read about a new (Gosamyr to me that is) characters though. :) Whoever wins, pick Domino! :P

Welcome back everyone. Today we reveal the next pair of mystery characters.... well, given how many managed to guess these two correctly, they weren't that mysterious after all.
There once was a man called Sunder,
Who died due to Legion's blunder.
He was strong like an ox,
Helped to found the Morlocks,
While he lived in New York - far under.
Every single person who participated guessed Sunder correctly, despite the fact that his death occurred before some of you guys were born. Of our eight Unusual Suspects, Sunder is the oldest character – creationwise. He first appeared in Uncanny X-Men (1st series) #169 [May 1983] and died in Uncanny X-Men (1st series) #254 [December 1989].
The second character is actually the newest of the Unusual Suspects, her first appearance being in August 2003. She has several things in common with Sunder, as she was equally unhappy in life and died from being shot.
Three posters were unable to identify Wallflower. One person apparently believed the silhouette to be missing her arms, which indeed could only barely be made out, explaining the submission of Venus Dee Milo. Someone else guessed Fixx of X-Factor, which may have been a wild guess based on the character’s long, straight hair. A truly irritating answer happened to be Brainchild of the Savage Land Mutates. Fortunately Laurie is already dead, and doesn’t have to endure being compared to such an ugly creature.
She'd not fight but rather would cower
Quite scared of her pheromone power
She was swayed by a friend
Got betrayed in the end
Too short was the life of Wallflower
The following contestants (in alphabetical order)
managed to correctly guess all four revealed characters and as such are still in the race to become the UXN's Next Top Poster:
_Rick_, angelus, Anna Raven, bjdonahue, Crawler, Dr. House, Elixir86, Faded,
Gibbering Fool, Gremlin, Havok73, medium13, Providence, Quick and
Dead, Zared
Enjoy the two new profiles! Be back next week, when we reveal one of two characters that most people did not guess correctly.

Good luck to all still in the running!

Damn, I didn't spot that tail on #2. I have definately got that one wrong. One of the costumes of my guessed character has the pointy bits on the boots and gloves and that's what mislead me. In fact I know for sure now who #2 is and I am kicking myself. Oh well....I am pretty sure I got 8 wrong too.
Never mind it was a fun game and it was good to read about Wallflower. It's a shame that there was a lot of work put into building up the New X-men characters and many of them were needlessly killed. Her power was actually quite useful and she would have made a great X-woman...but alas.

See, I told you on page four that yours and Gibbering Fool's guesses for #1-7 didn't match.... which is not saying that his are any more correct than yours. ;-)

Is it wrong that I can't help but imagine Tyra Banks speaking this line?
And who guessed Brainchild?

Oh, absolutely, you're supposed to think of Tyra. However, it wasn't my idea, I'm just running along Providence's from the previous page.

In Germany we have a similar show hosted by Heidi Klum. Unlike Tyra on ANTM, Heidi hands out photos from that weeks photo shoots for the girls' set cards to let them know they made it to the next round, and the sentence "Ich habe leider kein Foto für Dich" (Unfortuantely I have no photo for you) is now classic here. In that spirit.... Ich habe leider kein Foto für Dich, QDLux29. Brainchild was guessed by one of the people without a forum ID.

See, this is why I didn't play... I thought Wallflower was Autumn Rolfson... That and the fact that other than Kylun and Sunder, I only knew who one of them was.
I loves me some Tyra though. Our Top Model was presented by Lisa Snowdon and now Elle Macpherson. Who isn't British....

Maybe it's mean but the person that guessed Brainchild maybe shouldn't get a forum ID lol. At least they had a guess unlike myself who was stumped by #1. Poor Laurie.
Also the original Morlocks were great.

Here Elle MacPherson hosts a show called Fashion Star, where designers make clothes and 3 stores bid on them (Saks Fifth Ave, Macys, and H&M). Each week someone is eliminated and the winner gets a $5million deal to make a collection for all three stores.
Heidi Klum hosts Project Runway here...which is similar to Fashion Star but doesn't have the bidding part or store representatives there.
i heart our international community.

Her death was glorious, upping the ante in an increasingly powerful storyline that paved the way for years of thrilling X-books. Like Robespierre famously said, you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs.

Oh sweet Wallflower... Easily my favorite of that generation of New X-Men. So much potential. Thank you guys for devoting time to her, she deserves it. Rest in Peace dear Laurie...
Anyway, still in the running which is sweet. I believe you said that a certain entry did correctly guess all 8?

At least one person managed to guess all eight - it could be just one or more than one participant.

I watched one season of Germany's Next Top Model. I liked it better than ANTM. das_boot, you're complaining Elle Macpherson is your host? Ours is/was Jay Manuel. Seriously Canada, is that the best we have to offer? Anyways, it was nice to read Sunder & Wallflower's profiles! Great job, guys. It was sad going through Wallflower's profile. I liked her although I am sort of glad she's dead. She couldn't really do that much. Better dead than in the backgrounds. They should have Sofia as well. I doubt we'll ever see her again. It was refreshing reading Sunder's profile. Never read a book with him in it; not the 616 version at least.
