I'm very pleased with the costume choice too.

I like Wolfsbane's pose and costume but the face is not doing it for me. They need to close her mouth. All the figures with open mouths like Son of Satan and Absorbing Man look weird because of it.
Shaman looks great. Another Alphian for the display. Apparently Northstar and Aurora have been arriving in peoples subby packs.....shame I won't be home till around the 10th February as I have wanted those two for ages now. Fingers crossed for either Vindicator or Marrina next.......as long as we get one I am confident the other will soon follow.
Stingray is good too. The back of his cape looks odd but once he is painted he will be a real gem. It's a shame they cannot go for a more dynamic pose but apparently EM are limited by how high they can make the sculpts. Too tall and they venture into "special" territory.

Finally managed to get Magik today, went to my local comic book shop and she had
totally sold out so had to go to FP and they had a couple left. She's great
really happy with her. Picked up the twins also, Northstar looks great
but I'm not as thrilled with Aurora she's "ok". I like what I've seen of Wolfsbane so far, quite like the open mouth she's growling which you would kind of expect so I'm cool with that. Can't wait to see Danielle Moonstar eventually.

I've been on vacation for a few weeks, and without internet for most of it. I've only just put in orders on ebay for Magik, Photon and the twins. They have all shipped, can't wait to get them. Although, I have just boxed up my entire collection in preparation for moving house in the next few weeks!
With a possible new extension on the horizon, who are your biggest wants now? I really hope the next extension has more women than the last. The ratio was pathetic.
My biggest wants are:
- Vindicator
- Darkstar
- USAgent
- Firebird
- Sersi
- Monet
- Dr Druid
- Sunspot
- Namora
- Shatterstar & Rictor (I think they would make a great two pack given their relationship and shared history).
By the way, has Arachne's release been pushed back? I thought she was supposed to be #171, but now she is #174?

Yeah, apparently Sif took longer to design than they intended so a few figures got juggled slightly. She only got dropped back six weeks....the preview art for he cover is already out. Beetle just came out last week and he was #167 so Arachne isn't too far off.
My biggest wants...
Meggan
Monet
Darkstar
Justice
Warlock
Danger
Rocket Raccoon
Mantis
Exodus
Brood (these will have to be a special)
In all fairness my most wanted characters have been made now...Spiral, Dazzler, Madrox, Mojo and Deathbird. But there are so many great C and D-listers to be done.
The ratio of men to women has been an interesting point brought up a number of times. Within the universe there are more men than women and so far the ratio seems to reflect that well. But I agree, the last extension was a bit too light on the women front. The ones we got were all solid choices but I would have liked one or two slightly unexpected ones. The curveballs last extension seemed to go to the men....Werewolf-by-night, SpiderMan 2099 and Swordsman.
On the women front I expect to see Mantis, Sage and hopefully Namora next time. EM backed out on their previously mentioned inclusion of a golden age character last time. We ran a poll as to who the next GA should be and Namora came out head and shoulders above the rest. EM are aware of this so fingers crossed we might see her. Plus her design is in her favour.....slim build, no capes or paraphenalia....simple and cheap sculpt to make.
I just looked down the 201-220 request results so far and oddly enough Mantis is the highest ranking female (in 4th place) who isn't a x-character. The next highest is Sersi in 36th. All the ones in between are x-woman like Pixie, Meggan, Monet, Magma ect. This might be good actually as it means if EM wants to include more women they are likely to look further down the list at the likes of Sersi, Darkstar, Vindicator, Thundra and Nova.
Fingers crossed we should be getting word on an extension in a few months. My guess would be once 170-172 have been released given past trends.

Giant Man preview looks good... although I still prefer the 90's costume!
Sketches for Moonstar and Moonstone are good, also.
I was pleasantly surprised to have Photon arrive today. Great figure. More importantly, the twins also arrived! They are great figures, although it's a shame the pose in the box doesn't line up the two stars on their hips. I actually swapped them around, and they still look good on the other side of each other, so that the star lines up (if that makes sense!).
Although my collection is currently boxed up for house moving, I did dig my Alpha Flight characters out.... and posed the team together. Looking forward to having Shaman.... and desperately in need of Vindicator.

I am sssssoooooo happy with the Mirage pose. I was worried they would just have her lazily holding the bow by her side. But this pose is great and is going to look awesome in 3D.
The rest of the group look solid. Constrictor and Firelord are coming along nicely and I cannot wait to get Giant Man. Fingers crossed this opens up the possibility of Archangel in the future, and Atlas as a mega-special too.

I'm thrilled with Dani's pose and costume choice, she's going to be great I just know it. She was my most wanted character so I honestly can't wait for her. After Jubilee I don't think I wanted any one character so much so she really is one I'm looking forward to. I think Archangel has a good chance, I'm totally supporting him now but would like X-Specials like Warpath, Shadow King and Rockslide one day also.

Magik arrived yesterday, and I picked Sunfire up from my local magazine store.
Sunfire is a decent enough figure.
Magik is a great figure... except for the shoddy paint job on the hair. The front part of her hair, next to her face, is really dirty with lots of brown marks. Oh well.

Not at all surprised at the DC collection. Fingers crossed for another one but at this point it could go either way.
The blog update has images of Moonstone and Vance. But the best news is that they have gone for my favourite Deathbird pose. It has her arms stretched above her head and is shows her aggressive side as well as displaying the beautifuyl wings. I cannot wait to see the actual sculpt.

Although I don't collect it, I'm sorry to hear about the once-again impending cancellation to the DC collection. Although if the fans managed to save it last time, perhaps the same will happen again. I've seen pictures of some cool figures - some would make great figures for customs of any Marvel characters that don't make it into the Marvel collection (fingers crossed it doesn't come to that). Although the bases are round....
Anyway, the Moonstone pose looks good, and the Vance Astro figure looks very cool. Let's just hope more of the Guardians of the Galaxy make the cut, although I'm not really a fan.
Not long until Avalanche, Arachn and Mockingbird get released... three highly anticipated figures for me - especially Arachne. Just a shame there is no USAgent figure for her to stand next to
I've been re-reading some New Warriors lately - and now I'm craving some more New Warriors in the collection. Justice, Speedball, Turbo and Alex Power in particular, although surely if we ever get Alex he will be in his pre-teen version with his siblings - although hopefully not on a shared base!
I wonder how well Northstar & Aurora have been selling? Given they were highly demanded characters, hopefully really well. Maybe EM will look into more double-packs of regular figures.
Warlock and Cypher would be a good choice (visually cool character alongside a rather plain character, plus it's two New Mutants!).
Misty Knight and Colleen Wing are probably the obvious choices, however.
Darkstar & Vanguard (or any combination of the Winter Guard / Soviet Super Soldiers would be an ideal choice).
I'd love to see Left-Winger and Right-Winger, but I doubt that would ever happen.
Nomad and Vagabond? Or D-Man and Nomad?
Serpent Society members. "Civilian" characters, generic characters (AIM, Hydra etc).
I hope we get confirmation of another extension soon - it's almost one year to go and the collection will end with #200 otherwise!

Yeah, I'm expecting an announcement soon. If EM are currently deciding about the DC line then surely they will ahve the Marvel one on their minds too. I am fairly confident at another extension as the Marvel side has always sold better than the DC. And even if the Marvel were to be in danger the letter writing campaign would be huge. Edit: Had a couple of really good blog updates. Painted Mojo looks fantastic. I really cannot believe we are getting him.....I know he is a marmite character but he is a damn fantastic looking one. Wolfsbane looks Ok. Not a fan of the hair....I would have preferred the short crop. Mirage looks AMAZING. I am blown away by the pre-prod. I cannot wait to see her painted. The pose is the best for her and the fact they ahve got a bog bow is even better.

Mirage looks AWESOME. Cannot wait.
Wolfsbane, as much as I dislike the character, also looks really good.
And Mojo is just fun!
Stingray's corrected cape looks much better.
Another extension? Hopefully....!

Yeah, apparently, a 220 extension is pretty likely, but they're more worried about the eventual 240 one. It may be more of a reaction to the DC collection's problems, but I really think DC's problems have more to do with editorial mandate than sales. We're all in this New 52 stuff and this collection still features pre-reboot iterations of these characters. Add to that the pushing of the DC Chess collection and they're also likely worried about over saturation.
I tell you what, though. I'm buying Constantine. If nothing else, I can paint him very easily into Pete Wisdom should the CMFC end without including him.

Actually both Dc and the EM guys who make the DC collection are pushing for another extension. It's just the number crunchers that are on the fence. I ws thinking the same thing about Constantine. A bit of black paint on the coat and hair and he is Wisdom...even has the ciggy.

No word on any future extension as yet?
Not long now until the tripple-threat of Avalanche, Arachne and Mockingbird, yay! Can't wait!

No news yet...and still no news on the fate of the DC collection. It's all gone quiet in that respect. I think Dc might have bitten the dust personally but you never know....they were impressed with the letter campaign that was done.
Apparently the next special is now Terrax and not Mojo. No reason given but my guess would be design/packaging issues for Mojo. Also there is going to be a shake-up in the running order by the sounds of it......some of the sculpts are behind schedule. It will probably be Deathbird, Wiccan, SpiderMan 2099 and Hela given that the people who make them are notoriously slow. I am hoping this means another extension is imminant because there isn't much room to drop the characters back on the current extension.

I'm hoping that Dani can get bumped up the schedule a bit, that would be great. I got Thunderbird today and he's quite a nice figurine and looks great on my shelf. Was not particuarly a huge fan of him been picked this soon initially but it's cool to have him now.

Preview for Wiccan looks awesome - although I agree with other comments on the SHFF that he is a little bulky.
Painted Moonstone looks so much better than I thought she would be, which is great.
Still counting down the days now...

After a couple of weeks of nothing we finally have an update and what an awesome one it is.
Deathbird - Fantastic pose and one of the characters I championed last extension. I am so happy with how she has turned out and I cannot wait to see her painted.
Mirage - Another fine sculpt. Glad they opted for the yellow version instead of the gold....don't know what images they were looking at to get a gold version of the costume. I might add in the strings to the bow myself as I doubt EM would do it themselves. I guess Sunspot is the next logical choice for the New Mutants but I would prefer Magma or Warlock from a visual perspective. IMO Sunspot should be in his red and blue X-force costume. We will never have a uniform NM team so putting them in different costumes is the best solution at this point. His red and blue with the bandana is visually the best and help detract from the fact his powers looks better on paper than in 3D.
SpiderMan 2099 - Not liking the pose, that leg looks weirdly angled. other than that he looks rather good.

Deathbird looks really good even if I prefer her armored costume. I prefer the gold Dani & navy Spidey 2099. Why is Dani's arrowhead white? Dan's comments don't bode well for the CMFC or the DC collection. If you guys haven't been to the DC forum in a while, things aren't looking so positive. We had to write a second letter campaign & we haven't gotten any word back as to whether it worked or not. There's been a ton of anger being vented. If the CMFC which supposedly outsells the DC one is in trouble, that feels like they won't find room in the budget for another DC extension. Maybe a CMFC letter petition is in order?

Deathbird and Dani both look great, even if I'm not that thrilled about the choice of costume for Dani. I can't beleive this could be the end of the collection... considering things were pretty "happy" in terms of future extensions just back with the 161-180 extension. They should seriously consider raising the price to give the extension some more life if needs be. Or at least give us another 50 characters and then call it a day. In related news, I got both Avalanche and Grim Reaper this week. Both excellent figures, but missing the "A" on Avalanche's costume. Arachne has been pre-ordered on eBay (so excited), and the Sentinel special is on hold for me down at my local magazine store. I also had my first experience of realizing these figures can break... I finally unpacked my collection after moving house, and putting them on various bookcases, I accidentially knocked one of the cases, and the Vision and Quicksilver went tumbling down. The Vision broke in half (torso, cape and head seperated from lower body) and Quicksilver bent right back at the ankles. Ugh. Will replace them when there are no new current characters I want.
