He teaches Spanish... hola!!!

All kidding aside, I liked the episode but it was pretty lackluster. Brittany S. Pierce's lines were awesome but other than that, not so much.

Eh, I thought Brittney was amazing this episode. Seriously her dance moves and damn, what a body! I liked those scenes :-p.

But overall the story was weak, Rachel and Finn are blah and same old, same old and the Britney Spears music videos just felt weird.

I like when the music compliments the story not the other way around.

Oh and the less of the Jew-Froed Blogger the better. He isn't funny.

But hey the episode had some amazing Britney lines and a great line from Shue about vests and Blossom, so it wasn't a train wreck.

And it had Kurt finally getting in trouble. I liked that. The kid seems to do whatever he wants and it's always forgiven(like manipulating Finn's whole life) so it was nice he got detention. Well deserved :-p.

Yeah, I think Sue and Brittany consistently have the best lines in the show... but I do love the entire cast. And I agree that the songs work better when they finds ones that fit the story perfectly rather than force the songs into the show and last night's episode was absolutely forced... they even had to have Artie explain why everyone was having Britney fantasies at the dentist!

I must say though, I LOVE Coach Beiste!!!!

"I thought Dr. Pepper was a dentist" LOL.

For the next few months I'll laugh whenever I see a can of Dr. Pepper.

Oh one thing I'd hope they do is give Terri something to do other than being insane. If not, can she just leave?

I do too! I think she's a big ol' softie who likes to be tough! She's just so cute!

And XTreme - I agree, I could just do without Teri altogether.

I was hoping there wouldn't be any Teri this season. Actually, the Shue/Emma thing isn't working for me at all. I'd rather see a new player introduced into the equation. Also, I didn't know that I'd say it, but I really dislike seeing Mercedes shoved into the background so far this season.

Coach Beist rocks. I'm sure I spelled it wrong, but I really, really like her character. Sooooooooooo much better than the former football coach whatshisname.

Well, I'm no Gleek, but I have seen all the shows. I was torn on the Britney episode. There were some great lines, but it was almost Brittney overkill. They could have removed one or two of her lines and preserved her humor a bit more. For instance, the Jewish cloud line was horrid. I don't want them to over expose her by giving her a ton of "look how stupid she is" lines. My favorite line was, It's Brtiney...bitch. It seems fitting she was, I am assuming, auto tuned or whatever when she was singing. Just like Ms. Spears. Her dancing/performance scenes were AMAZING!

I don't want to see the Jewish Cloud again.

I think we all agree that the Vlogger could stay out of the series and no one would be upset. His reactions during the "Toxic" scene made me wanna shut the show off.

Hmmm, okay, so I've just watched the third episode and I'm kind of done with Kurt. Done done done. He's nothing but a completely manipulative, narcisstic and sanctimonious whiney ass. All his storylines revolve around him having a pity party for himself for one reason or another and I'm just done. They could remove this character right now and I couldn't care any less. All they need now is to give him some cliche jock boyfriend who won't come out as being his boyfriend so Kurt eventually outs him and loses his boyfriend in the process and blows up the last of his job-lot pity-party balloons. But seriously, I don't see what he adds to the mix at all. The only positive things I've ever said about the character were that he sounds a lot better when he's not doing that ridiculous falsetto and actually sings with his natural voice, and with the 'I wanna hold your hand' solo from this episode, I stand by that. Easily the most irritating character on this show.

I didn't like the last episode of Glee at all except for Rachel's solo and her unbelievable selfish world view. There isn't really a great solution to religious debate, and I think the writers were somewhat afraid to do more than scratch the surface.

Hmm. I actually hated the Britney episode, and that's speaking as a HUGE britney spears fan. It was silly, just recreated videos, and may have had some funny lines but had no plot line.

On the other hand, I love Kurt and I really liked the episode that featured him. Again, there were a few songs that were just out of nowhere, and yeah I'm not a fan of his falsetto voice either, but I think the character is very genuine and Mike O'Malley can do no wrong. Not to mention, i thought at the start of the episode that they'd make him change his religious worldview and start believing in God by the end. But he didn't. And I liked and appreciated that. When has an atheist been a major character on a popular television series? And then when has that atheist been someone as young as Kurt? I loved Rachel's song, though it was very weird and out of place. And Finn was delightfully stupid in this episode, and Mercedes got some shine back.

I thought Teri was funny in Season 1, but they've made her into too much of a crazy-mean girl stereotype.

Hm... seems to me like the pacing problems from season 1 continue. The Brittany episode was a bit too much (I guess they didn't have to do both "I'm a slave for you" and the Britney/Madonna one) and too early in the season. I'd have liked this as a "filler" or "breather" halfway through the season, but not in the beginning, where they should be developing longer subplots for the season.

Right now it just seems to be about characters (Rachel, Brittany, Kurt, Finn, Mercedes), but there's hardly any development anymore. The main characters all are established in their roles and stagnating now, which ain't bad.... if they were used on the sidelines. They could do an episode about other characters (Tina & Mike, Puck, Quinn, Santana) and still have Brittany say something stupid or Rachel something obnoxious. I'd like to see Santana's background for instance - she's only been a love interest for Puck and a friend to Brittany. But who is she?

And they really need to build some actual stories. Coach Beiste is a start, with Will being in the middle between her and Sue. I smell somethingcoming up with Sam (?, the blonde quarterback) and Kurt. I mean, Kurt was the only guy not present when Sam rehearsed... They should focus on the actual Glee stuff a bit more, like preparing for the next contest. Oh and I hope that the love triangle with Will, Emma and the dentist will lead somewhere interesting.

I agree, but then I also think that it would be a difficult topic for them to touch in terms of it being a show aimed at teens... I don't think it would have gone down very well with many parents and religious groups, and so therefore they pretty much toned down the Glee humour, that pretty much lampoons anything and everything, and as a result the whole episode felt muted. Looking back, I can see now why there were no real stand-out lines, even from the mighty Sue Sylvester, because of the simple fact that religion is probably the one subject that is still pretty much the sacred cow of taboos in relation to television shows.

Even Sue's atheism, which was probably the best explained and most fleshed-out of all the characters, was shown to waver under a little scrutiny. Kurt, who spent the episode being the worst kind of atheist (ie; "I don't believe in it, so therefore you're all "Brain damaged", was the term used, I believe)... sorry, but for me this was yet another example of what an awful, horrible person this character is. I see absolutely no redeeming qualities in him whatsoever and I fail to see what makes him such a fan-favourite character beyond the fact that a lot of gay fans allegedly like him because they can relate to being a homosexual guy and struggling to come to terms with that in high school.

I saw that a bit differently.  Kurt is a teenager and was just acting as such (ie:  "I know everything and I'm always right".  Lord knows, I was like that too).  I thought that all of the kids were doing that in some way.  Quinn telling everyone that it's wrong to question Jesus, Mercedes insisting that Kurt go with her to church, and don't get me started on hospital scene with everyone holding a not-so-slent vigil for Mr. Hummel without Kurt's knowledge.  Strangely, I thought hat Puck had the most maturity.  He simply went to Temple and prayed for Kurt's dad.

Sorry I'm late to the show....Britain hasn't aired the episodes yet so I nabbed them online.

Anyway...so glad Brittany and Santanna are getting more things to do....they were great last season. But I agree that Brittany needs to be toned down slightly so that she still remains funny. She is by far the best dancer though. Watching her throughout the last season and during the Britney episode she knocked socks off the others.
Santanna has a really good voice and I like how she has become the bitchy cheerleader instead of Quinn.

Last season I was torn with Kurt. I really empathised with him as it's exactly what I was going through at school. But his obsession with Finn was cringeworthy. In the lastest episode he nailed it though....the guy playing him has to win some awards because it's just a great dramatic piece.

I was looking forward to Kurt getting a love interest but it seems Sam, who was supposed to be the interest, has been changed to become Quinn's interest instead.

Less of the Jewish blogger please...nice try but he hasn't caught on.

As far as the Sam/Kurt pairing - I think that was just a tease during the promotion of Season 2, or even perhaps the original intent, but after the chemistry between Sam & Quinn, the went in that direction, and a new character/potential love interest for Kurt will be introduced later this season (apparently the 'gay' from another rival club).

I'm enjoying this season, its had its setbacks and shortcomings, but I just can't help but enjoy myself. Really looking forward to next week's 'Rocky Horror' episode: Booty said it best: It's either going to be amazing, or a trainwreck.

Blaine [Darren Criss' character] isn't necessarily going to play the supposed boyfriend. They've already done the 'rival glee club relationship' with Rachel and Jesse last season. I'm not sure about Sam. He has said that he has a secret. I do love the chemistry with him and Quinn though. They were awesome in "Duets" and their performance was definitely my favourite of the episode but I can see him maybe being interested in Kurt after Kurt actually backed up and gave him space this time. However that's not what I want to happen. I want Sam/Quinn. Quinn doesn't need to be in a love triangle every season.

Yeah, P. I felt the same way when I read that a potential love interest for Kurt was potentially on a rival club - That was SO last season. However supposedly Sam's secret is the fact he dyed his hair with lemon juice, but I'd also say I'd have to agree - the jock comes out as gay after dating the most popular girl is so what's going on in 90210 anyway....

Okay, so the Rocky Horror episode was NOT a car-crash. I enjoyed it, especially;
-Brittanny and Santana as Columbia and Magenta... especially during 'Touch-a etc'.
-Mercedes version of 'Sweet Transvestite'-- I thought it would be a bit of a weird one considering that a lot of the original is Tim Curry mostly talk-singing, but WOW. Awesome.
- There's either a lot less auto-tuning being done, it's being done far more subtely this season, or singing lessons have paid off for some of the weaker singers. Even Finn who was auto-tuned to within an inch of his life last season is sounding very natural and a lot better for it.
-Sue's Corner. Brilliant.

I'm really liking the juxtoposition of Jane Lynch's character & her real life persona. Good call writers/producers!

I'm SUPER over Mr. Schu. He's a total douchebag. Though seeing him shirtless was pretty much awesome (so many abs this show...), his character is quickly losing any kind of respect from me.

And was it too much to have John Stamos mention his old band The Rippers or give us a little "Have Mercy!" - I mean the Eddie Character is so ELVIS

I miss Puck. Granted, this was very much a Shu/Emma/Dentist who's name I can never remember and Finn episode, I'm still annoyed that if the last episode was Puck being written out, it was sloppily done. Although his name's still on the credits, so who knows... Anyway, Puck is my eye candy. I miss my eye candy.

Loved Meat Loaf and movie-Brad's cameo.

Apparently there is tension b/t Mark Salling (Puck) and the Producers b/c he was working (and now released) an album. Why, I don't know. But yes, I miss Puck as well.

Did anyone notice in the episode "Never Been Kissed" that there were two references to Marvel characters?!  Puck calls Artie "Professor X" and Sue refers to Coach Bieste as "She-Hulk"!

I did notice and love the Marvel references. Oh yeah, Professor X shout out!

Blaine singing Teenage Dream was one of the best covers I've heard on the show (i hate that song normally), and by the way he is now my new crush on the show with Puck. Glad that Puck returned; I hope they further develop his friendship with Artie as that was the best moment of "Never Been Kissed" for me. The football jock kissing Kurt was annoying; I'd much rather have him be harassing Kurt cuz he's a homophobic jerk, which would make it more realistic AND not send the message that gays are just harassed by other gays, or that straight men doing that are justified because they AREN'T gay. In any case I don't like that plotline.

This week had great Sue moments, though I hope Figgins isn't gone for good. I love how on this show they can fire and replace teachers and principals within a week. It's so ridiculous. Gwenyth Paltrow was as good a guest star as Kristin Chenoweth (who is rumored to return) and I hope she also returns. Holly Holliday kind of reminded me of an upbeat version of her character in Tannenbaums, and her opening monologue and flashback were great. Favorit line of the episode was when Sue held up broccoli and said "Britanny whimpered, thinking I'd cut down a small tree that housed Gummi Bears." The music this episode was only so-so.

They're really getting big stars now...John Stamos, Gwenyth Paltrow, and next week Carol Burnett as Sue's Nazi-hunting mother (I can't wait!).
