I am fine with Dick Grayson as Robin, I am not that familiar with the Flash family so I wouldn't know who's better for the role....
Also regarding the energy projector, as you've mentioned they probably have their reasons...

David did say that he might bring over Secret and others...so its still potential they could bring on the Ray, since he was a member of Young Justice and is pretty much like Monica Rambeau in the MU.

They could use Argent or Starfire.
Baby Etrigan was the best part of that JLU episode.

One thing I say it has over Avengers is the animation...so smooth and sexy...but its very dark...which is interesting since Avengers is such a Silver Age feeling show...but still looks great. Its awesome to have 2 great comic cartoons out there

I don't approve of their Mr. Freeze redesign.

My only complaint with Freeze is the missing blueish skin and glowing red eyes. That's so iconic, so classic, how can they change that!?!
In any case, those were a sexy six minutes. I wasn't terribly interesting in this show, but DANG that looked good. I miss Teen Titains Robin's voice - although it's nice to hear Cyborg back as Aqualad.

Mignola-esque ge-gnome-morphs (or DNAliens)are adorable!
I hope we get to see teen Zatanna since her dad is on the JLA.
The Hawkworld-ish costumes of Hawkman and Hawkwoman were neat.
I dig the conspiracy foreshadowing that Wiseman set up.

Damn forgot this was gonna be on today. Can't seem to find it repeating anytime soon on the channel. That and it's not even on next week or so. Was this just the first episode preview before the season starts later? I think that is what I read before but can't recall. I could find it online to watch I suppose, but I hate watching stuff on my monitor when I have a nice big tv to watch stuff on.

Cartoon Network will probably post it to its site. They're usually a week behind on uploads.
It was basically an hour long pilot. The series begins in January.
I presume we'll see Deathstroke at some point.
The Robin in this, much like the Teen Titans version, feels more like Tim Drake than Dick Grayson. Poor Tim always gets the shaft. He was pretty much Jason Todd in the later years of BTAS.

Hmm saw it, wasn't that impressed. I guess I was expecting to see them acting like their comic book counterparts. I thought Superboy was very serious and stiff and Robin very lax and jokey, even more so than Tim Drake usually is(he at least takes missions seriously). Kid Flash was good and I don't know enough about Aqualad. Also some of the dialogue was really flat, like bad videogame dialogue flat. Wish they would have given Miss. Martin a little more of an introduction than "She'll be a girl on the team, she'll be shy and like Superboy", though her character was never exactly interesting in the comics but still...
Still I'm stick around when it comes back in January.

I heard the animation is awesome. But the characters are stuck in a gray area. They aren't necessarily as vibrant as typical DC animation-verse but not as golden age feeling as the new Avengers...I have to catch it soon to see for myself.

enh... I'm sure it'll get better. They've just barely done the intro for the team.

I liked this, although I agree with some of the criticism. The pilot movie could have really benefited from a female presence. By the way, I was surprised to learn that Winnie from the Wonder Years voices Miss. Martian. I liked the premise. I'm not a huge DC follower, so I don't really know how closely this follows the characters. I was a little annoyed at Superman's reaction to his clone and the way the dialogue was handled between Clark and Batman when the time came. Cyborg was my least favorite character over on Teen Titans, but I find myself enjoying Aqualad.

Cyborg was your least fave? Awww man, he was AWESOME!!! Actually I loved the whole team lol...
I wish they had Teen Titans Robin doing his voice again...but otherwise I like Kid Flash, Superboy, and Speedy's voices.
Interesting they chose Miss Martian over Wonder Girl...

I really like the whole team as well. I just liked everyone else more than him. His voice talent is great, I just take issue with half robots.
Like I said, I don't know much about the DC universe outside of the cartoon world, but it did seem odd there was no sidekick present for Wonder Woman. It's nice Black Canary will make training cameos.

I think they picked Miss Martian for variety. Wonder Girl's Demi-goddess nature is cool, but visually she's somewhat uninteresting. Having a shapeshifter on the team.... well, that's bound to make for some interesting moments.

I agree, marhawkman. I recall reading a similar plan regarding Martian Manhunter's powers in the JLA cartoon as he seemed redundant standing next to Superman. They played the game well by focusing on his shape changing, intangability, and telepathy (to an extent).

Well even in simplified cartoon form Wonder Girl's origin story is as confusing as Phoenix+Cable+...PLUS anything else in the MU you can think of LOL...But she was originally left out due to legal issues so she'll probably join later.
So I guess the League is Superman (01), Batman (02), Wonder Woman (03?), Aquaman (04), Green Lantern-Hal Jordan, Flash (06), Martian Manhunter (07), Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Zatara, Captain Marvel, Captain Atom, Black Canary, Red Tornado (14), Green Lantern-John Stewart...am I missing anyone?
And we see that Speedy is making his transition to Red Arrow. I read that Garth will appear as a friend of Aqualad (YAY for Tempest)...Artemis will probably join next to fill out the roster (it's said that halfway thru another member will join and then another at the end of the first season, making it a total of 8 members...my guesses: Beast Boy, Starfire, Cyborg, Wonder Girl, or Captain Marvel JR.).
Captain Marvel will also be showing up alot (since Billy is close to their age), along with Superman,Aquaman, Flash, Green Arrow, and J'onn (probably to talk to their respective "side-kicks").
I read in an interview their ages are: Robin-13, Flash-15, Artemis-15, Miss Martian-16, Aqualad-16, and Superboy-"16"

Apparently there are a strange licensing concerns for Wonder Woman appearing on TV. Geoff Jones had to help the Brave & the Bold people get permission for her to appear on an upcoming episode. That's why Teen Titans didn't use Wonder Girl except for a cameo on a monitor. Donna Troy's origin is very convoluted. If they do use any of Wonder Woman's sidekicks I guess they'll probably be used for something special as opposed to showing up uexplained with the same powers as Superboy.
I liked that they did something different than the traditional Blockbuster so Kid Flash could get his nose.
Guardian's shield was very tiny.
It's interesting that Batman is using the Teen Titans as the JLA's X-Force.
