Complaining about Lex Luthor being over used is like complaining about Superman being overused. :p

I watched BtBatB.  I know how corny and stupid Sportsmaster was originally. :p But it's nice to have different villains running amok.  Honestly JLU had so many villain chars you'd have a hard time finding a single recognizable villain that wasn't seen there.

Yeah, but I'm not sure he'd make a good villain for young Justice.

Prometheus is an awesome villain for anybody. Unless you inexplicably make him Hush's sidekick, which yoyally ruins him. There's 2 options this show could run with:
1. Prometheus attacks the JL in their giant Space Iron. The YJ must port up to stop him & save their mentors.
2. Prometheus attacks Mount Justice as a warm up to the Space Iron. YJ are humiliated & crippled, causing JL to reconsider how they've handled the situation.

Those could work.  I've never liked Prometheus simply because he's the Taskmaster, but less cool.

He does have an atompunk helmet, a key to Limbo, & a Prometheum truncheon.

This episode had a really good use of Parasite. I was expecting the weaponized Large "Bosun" Collider to open up a Boom Tube for Darkseid's forces. It felt pretty light given that the season is wrapping up though. You know Red Arrow's "there is no mole" comment is going to be torn down next episode.
There's supposed to be one character dying this year, & my money's on Red Arrow. Being told you've just made onto the Justice League when they already have Green Arrow is like being a cop a week away from retirement. The show isn't going to have get addicted to heroin, make a baby with Chesire, get his arm lopped off, have that baby get blown up, & mistake a dead cat for his daughter in a heroin-induced hallucination either, so they might as well kill him to explore characters whose defining arcs can actually be shown on Saturday morning cartoos.
Also they namedropped Titano ... on an elephant's poster.  Seriously guys? You couldn't have used a poster of some kind of circus simian?

So any thoughts on the potential traitor?

It would too left field to be Robin...then again that would make it even more interesting.

Artemis is far too obvious.

Kid Flash is another one that is out of left field and the Light have focused on him specifically at one point. Same for Ms. Martian.

I'm with whomever said Aqualad at this point.

Well in order of likelyhood.

1. Superboy (Has triggers and was clearly affected mentally by the Shield patches)

2.*Miss Martian with an asterisk (Hard to say because the blackmail with Queen Bee happened long after the mole was announced).

3.Artemis (Family connection)

4. Red Arrow (I felt the Guardian newphew line was kind of oddly placed and think he might be a clone given that Match was an example of cloning having occured at Cadmus for some time).

5. Red Tornado (Hacked before could happen again)

6. Aqualad (secretely working for Black Manta? who knows, I doubt the 3 sidekicks to be the mole.

7. Doubt its Robin

8. Kid Flash makes absolutely no sense to be the mole.

Zatanna joined too late to be mole.

It's gonna be really awkward if they all betray the team at the same time. "Wait, you're all the moles? I thought I was the mole!"

What I would like to see is the mole be someone like Miss Martian or Aqualad simply for this: The "mole" thing was a JL setup as a way of testing to see how the team would deal with an internal crisis as part of their "graduation requirement". Fallout from the team being shocked at this is that they split from the JL with Robin and Kid Flash swapping out identities for Nightwing and Flash after Barry retires having sided with the kids against the whole "mole plan" that some of the JL concocted.
Alex I do everything like a hawk.
This isn't DC Comics -- Marvel continuity doesn't die out if you don't water it often enough.
The whole Batman idea is a very childish response to childhood trauma.

That actually could be really awesome...but RObin i think is too young for the change. He's only 13, even though he's been with Bats for at least 3 yrs.

It's not a JL set-up because Sportsmaster was the first one to mention it. Unless Sportsmaster is really Batman, which would explain why people suddenly think he's the bee's knees. It wouldn't be batman's first paranoid dick move that spoils everything. Barry retiring at this point would be pretty irresponsible though.

I still think the mole thing was all a setup for the Light to plant Red Arrow on the team.

Superman is probably the most heavily used comic book character in comic book history.

So who guessed the traitor?

I have to say adding Rocket was nice.

I did!  It seemed obvious.  the writers gave Superboy, M'Gann, and Artemis motives that were too obvious.

and yeah, I totally saw that ending coming.  Taking Red Arrow and a case of gizmos created from Starro's remains to the JLA satellite? Yeah...  Next episode is gonna be AWESOME!

And yes, Rocket is great!

I don't know. Maybe it's that I am not familiar with the Rocket character from any comics but she came off a little too... "please like our token black character" for me. The intro of Artemis was handled much better as it was done in sync with the beginnings of the Mole storyline so you started doubting her from the get-go. Zatanna was done awesome in that she had a few adventures before official induction. She proved herself to the team.

Rocket was "Oh my homeboy got into the JL so I was put on the sidekick team by proxy."

Seriously I want Huey Freeman to verbally pwn her.

Well, we've seen Rocket in this show before.  It was brief but it was there.

It makes sense for Rocket to get put on this team if they're putting Icon in the JLA, Rocket might get lonely without her mentor around.

I'm glad that the mole situation worked out as it did. I didn't want to believe that ANY one of our cast could whole heartedly betray the team so this works for me. I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing the Titans go up against their mentors next week. THAT is going to be awesome!

On the topic of Rocket, I have to admit, I thought she was pretty annoying. : / I'm not familiar with the character at all though, so I'm just judging on the one appearance. So she's got flight, a force field, and what, super-strength?

She has a belt that essentially gives her Cannonball/Speedball powers. Her force-field allows her to absorb impacts and redirect for increased strength and blows.

I can admit most of my joy came from her actually joining and i gave them the benefit of the doubt since its her first full episode. But yeah she can definitely get annoying if they dont make her more dynamic character than sassy black girl.

I called Red Arrow a page ago.
The simultaneous betrayl fake-out was pulled off well. I'm still disappointed that Artemis didn't fulfil her comic book destiny by becoming Tigress.
The ambush totally undermined the Riddler. In his past appearances in the show, they played  uphow his loser image belied the fact that he was the smoothest criminal. Here he stays inside the force field like a moron to get captured immediately. Why didn't he stay outside the forcefield & ask them continous riddles while they fought henchmen. He didn't even have any weapons for his inevitable confrontation with the team. Heck, they could've done a whole episode of Riddler making puzzle death traps for the team with Apokaliptan technology.
I liked when Vandal Savage boarded the Space Iron & promptly ignored Speedy so he could look at the Earth.

Anybody notice that Icon was listed as the 20th member of the League?

I didn't really see it as Riddler being "stupid" as recall the ambush wasn't meant to kill all of YJ as the Light still had use of it's mole. Riddler was following orders which probably included going back to jail as we've established Belle Reeve isn't a threat anymore due to it being under their control.
