I'd put Nova on this list somewhere, he's definitely more powerful than Iron Man. Other possibilites are: Blackbolt, Gladiator, Blue Marvel (albeit he's relatively new/underused),

Is blackbolt that powerful? I always thought he was ubermighty, but not Silver Surfer, Thor, Hulk levels.
I am sure he could give Colossus a good pounding. And maybe he could scream at Magneto. But I can't picture him taking a hit form anyone above and being ok.

The Thing: Didn't they come up with a cure for your kind?
Wolverine: You got a problem with mutants?
The Thing: I meant Canadians.

Blackbolt can level a city with his voice. Most characters with superstrength he could knock senseless with a single blow.

BlackBolt I believe not only has superhuman strength but can amplify it some how with his voice/electron powers. Not sure I'd ask Monolith.
During WWH they described him as the (formerly) second most powerful person on earth.

Using these list. My Vote is for Marvel. While DC has alot more powerful characters than just these 10, I don't think any of them could take out Marvel's top 10.
I am sure Superman can take out everyone in Marvel EXCEPT Silver Surfer, Sentry, Phoenix, and yes, the All Mighty Thor. Superman wouldn't be able to stand up against the energy powers of the first 3. And while Superman is most likely a little stronger and faster than Thor, Thor has a hammer. And he can swing it pretty hard. And as someone else said, Superman's strength may be at 11, compared to Thor's 10. But Thor is no mere mortal. The son of Krypton is a fine warrior, but he is no god.
Green Lantern may have the strongest weapon in his universe. But there is nothing stronger than the Hulk. No matter what GL creates the Hulk can destroy. Since his powers are pretty much battery operated telekinesis, he is only in the fight as long as no one is stronger than his green energy.
On a side note, I think if Phoenix was in the fight, she would get hungry with the knowledge of another multiverse, and would probably turn into Dark phoenix and put everyone at risk. |
This is a very great argument.
For Marvel's top 10, I'd put in Scarlet Witch and take out Wonder Man. He just doesn't seem that powerful to me. And because, really, We all should know by now what she is capable of.
"I am sure Superman can take out everyone in Marvel EXCEPT Silver Surfer, Sentry, Phoenix, and yes, the All Mighty Thor." And Scarlet Witch and Hulk. Hulk... I don't even know why Superman beat him in the first DC/Marvel crossover. I was just confused.
I've also always pictured Ms. Marvel going up against Wonder Woman. They both fly and have super strength. Then WW has he lasso and Ms. M has her energy powers. I think Ms. M makes the fairest match to WW out of any other Marvel character.
And Black Bolt, I agree there. He could probably defeat just about anyone. Except maybe the Hulk as we have seen... XD

It's probably against forum rules for me to type how I read this sentence initially.

GL(Stewart) vs Hulk: Stewart launches the Hulk into deep space. RINGOUT!
Seriously, GL rings have autonomous features that let the wearer tell the ring to do something and have the ring carry out their commands while they plan their next move.
It'd be interesting to see some of the chars less traditionally thought of as heroes mixed in with this. Livewire and Scorch both debuted as villains but did a face-turn later. Either one would be interesting as a way to make the DC team more diverse. Livewire's electrical powers would give Stark fits!

Seeing Captain America try to keep up with stronger heores/villains (maybe wield a GL ring for a short while). See Batman fighting Bullesye, etc.

How about an "Acts of Vengence" crossover between DC and Marvel?

What if it wasn't just a big fight between DC's Superheroes and Marvel's? What if it was an all all out war between the DC and Marvel universes? Based on technology, resources, strategy etc who would win? This could be limited to Earth vs Earth, or entire universes (Shi'ar vs Rann etc)

I don't think it's quite that simple.... Beyonder Vs. Spectre would be an interesting fight me thinks. :D

Wait? You don't think Phoenix is a match for Wonder Woman? This is the Phoenix we're talking about...A Godlike Entity...She devours worlds...
I hope Green Lantern kicks Captain America's ass.

I would hope so. I really dislike the character of WW.
"Look, my lasso makes you tell the truth!"
"You're still a ****, luv."
Yep. That was how my interaction with Wonder Woman would go.
