Anyone catch the first episode back? I really liked it, even though I felt like there were too many nods to the Matrix in there. Great to have Chloe back, and to see her back in the credits also. I know she's not sticking around for the rest of the season, but I hope she's around for a bit at a least.

Yeah the bits that were sort of ripped from the Matrix were kind of annoying for a bit. The multiple 'evil' Chloe avatars really seemed out of place as they didn't do anything but stand there menacing till he hunched down Neo style to leap into the air lol. Other than that it was great to have Chloe back and being bad ass. The credits were feeling pretty sparse lately with a lot more of it being episode clips than ever before. Would have been nice to see the other heroes that were trapped in there instead of just speaking of them and never showing them, but that's been a gripe of mine for awhile of not like keeping the actors on a contract of some kind to recall them for spots. Far as I know most aren't doing a lot lately.

I'm enjoying that alot of the League (Canary actually called it the League!) are getting spotlights this season. First Hawkman, then Aquaman and now Black Canary. If only Bart could come back for an episode. Also, I wonder what John Jones is up to, you'd think he'd be around for all the Darkseid stuff

I'm really getting a strong movie vibe from alot of these episodes. Recently, when Chloe came back, the Matrix references were heavy, then the Desaad episode had strong elements of Date Night early on. The latest episode, Fortune, felt like I was watching the Hangover.
having said that I've enjoyed all of tehse episodes, especially Fortune. Seeing Emil as Elvis, or Oliver in that dancer outfit, was just hilarious. It was great to get a fun epsiode.

While these 'parodies' or 'inspired by' movie episodes are a bit odd at this point in the game, they have provided some good stuff. It was nice to have a fully fun episode since it might be one of their last one's. Though with the ending I'm wondering if that's all we'll see of Ollie till around the last few episodes. Nice way to get in a mention of Batman and Wonder Woman without being able to show them or even actually saying their names. Though it is odd that Chloe got to meet them and Clark can't just yet lol.

I'm sure we'll see mopre of Ollie, though he may be gone for an episode or two hanging with Chloe. I think with the Omega Symbol on his foreheard revelation from the previous episode, they definitely have plans for him.

Yeah Chloe says she met a 'Billionaire that likes toys' or something like that and a 'woman so wonderous' or something similar to that. Insinuating who they are without actually saying lol. Sneaky.
Really ready to see where that Omega on Ollie's skull goes towards the end. For the big bad of the season they really went a different direction than Doomsday or Zod being around all the time. Darksied stuff seems to come in bits and pieces. Interested to see how it ties into Lex making a triumphant return at the end and how Clark will really become Superman and people won't realize it's that guy that worked with them for years and just lately started wearing glasses and stumbling around lol. Though it is interesting that they took all that time last episode to build up to his taking on the standard Clark disguise...and then he seems to not even bother wearing it this episode. Though I suppose that's cause he's with friends the whole time, but you'd think if he really wants people to forget he looks like what they will one day see as the Blur, he really should be doing it all the time by now lol.

i'm going to go with the "erase people's memory" thats a DC mainstay. Clark will beat Darkseid and people won't remember his identity.

Probably lol. It's the usual way to fix things. I had to laugh at those recaps mentioned at the top of the page, the one for this episode pointing out that a Billionaire with high tech toys shouldn't mean much at all to Clark when he already has a billionaire friend with high tech toys in Oliver lol. And a 'wonderous' woman would be how he sees Lois anyways. That and the fact that he's met so many super heroes and villains that the revelation of there being more heroes or powered people would be like a "Oh that's cool" style note for him lol.

I read today that after only being back for a handful of episodes Smallville is back in hiatus until April 15th. Is this true? Why? Whyyyyyyyyyyy!?

It's an annoying US thing where shows go on hiatus and come back for sweeps weeks in an attempt to pull in an obsolete concept of ratings.
On the bright side, it gives the ComicsAlliance folk a few weeks to review more episodes from earlier seasons.

Yeah tis the dreaded hiatus till they roll out the last few episodes and then go on the long summer break. Wish it would hurry up. While I've shaken my head a lot lately at things that have been done on the show, I am curious to see how it ends after ten years of watching it straight through. It was sort of funny that Superboy was now introduced, and suddenly every time he called Clark "The Blur" I cringed. Probably since Connor should be aspiring to be Superman, not "I want to be like the Blur!". Also laughed that Linoel just rolls back in and everyone in government and business is like "Oh okay sure you just faked your death, okay." But then bam Tess brings out mirror fingerprints off this one forgotten document and the gig is up? Sheesh it's easy to scam your way into things I guess lol.

Its not the way I expected them to deal with Lionel. I thought he would end up in the Phantom Zone or in Clark's crystal collection (seriously, how many crystals does he have?). Then again he couldn't become the host of Darkseid if that was the case.
Has anyone else heard the news that Callum Blue (Zod) is coming back for an episode?

Yeah I recall seeing a bit about that and was wondering what was coming with that. Perhaps it has something to do with the promo bit with Pa Kent hitting Clark, perhaps he's forced to see visions of people or something. Bringing him back fully from that other world probably wouldn't work super well as then he'd be powerful again. That and he's probably either dead or bad off considering how the other Kryptonians were turning on him at the end.

How many episodes are left at this point, like 4 or 6?
I wonder what things they will cover in the few shows that are left?
Will Lana show up?
What about an adult Lex?
I Hope there is enough time to wrap up some loose ends, while maybe leaving a few dangling plots just in case they later decide to start anew...

@Scott: I think those scenes in the promo of Clark being beat up by Pa Kent are in the alternate world when Lionel comes from. They have that grey tinge to them that the mirrorworld had. The funeral scenes did also. My guess: Clark somehow ends up back in the mirrorworld again and Martha is dead instead of Jonothon. For whatever reason he whomps on Clark with Kryptonite. maybe they try to send Liolnel back there, or a Darkseid infused Liolnel sends Clark there.
As for Zod returning, I have two theories. The first is that Clark does some time travelling in the Booster Gold Episode and encounters him in the past. The second is that he returns from that other dimension he and the Kandorians went to. Remember, Darkseid escaped from that world when the Kandorians entered it.
@Pheonixx9: Lana is not coming back, but it has been confirmed that Michael Rosenbaum is returning as Lex for the finale. He has filmed four scenes apparently. Noone has any info on how he will return in the show. Will it be a flashback or spirit in the afterlife? Will he be another clone or alternate reality Lex? Or will it be the real deal?
Its awesome that we have so many cast members returning this season: Kara, Jonothan, Martha, Liolnel, Zod. It would be nice if some of the more overlooked cast members got some acknowledgment, even if just in a flashback. Characters like Whitney, Pete, Jason, Jimmy and Davis. Yes I know four of those characters are dead, but it would be cool to get their actors back for a dream sequence or something. I know the guy that plays Pete is out though, as he's in jail for drug dealing.

Well Smallville is finally back! Who else caught last week's episode Kent? I liked it, though I felt his time in the mirrorworld was a bit brief. Great to see Jonothan again, even if it was a very differnet Jonothan. I was surprised by the ending; I was certain that with all the talk of Gold Kryptonite, and the previews that showed Gold K, they would track some down and use it on Evil Clark. I guess Gold Kryptonite will show up in a later episode.

I liked this episode too, but with so few episodes left, I would have rathered they focus on tying up (some) loose ends, spotlighting some of the older characters and working on making Clark into Superman.
I would have also liked if they featured some of the other super-heroes since we only have a few more episodes to see them in action.

It was a nicely done episode, though I'm sort of over evil Clark's since he goes evil or such just about once a season lol. Though one thing that keeps nagging at my brain is that the Masquerade episode was a giant waste of time it seems. They end with him wearing the glasses but ever since then he hasn't even bothered to put them on. Smallville has great moments but they seem to suck at sticking to their own continuity in soooo many cases. The funniest thing is that glasses now, when he spent his entire life as the glasses less Clark that will show up in every yearbook of old and work picture and newspaper byline...I doubt glasses now will trick the world from going "Oh he's not Superman..." They so dropped the ball there lol. I guess the Daily Planet and the world are reallllly dumb :p
With Booster coming this week, I couldn't help but think that the Booster one should have been earlier cause we only have a handful of episodes left and Darksied hasn't been touched on in weeks. Ollie is just gone. All the major plot points of the season outside of Lois and Clark together seem to have just fallen aside till the finale. Ready for that indeed, should be a bang.

Very interesting episode. The Blue Beetle stuff really sort of got minamalized quite a bit but still worked. Was afraid that this would be a very down episode but glad to see some important stuff still happen. Funny that I mentioned about the whole loss of the stuff from Masquerade episode coming back here. Still hilarious that people are going to be dumb enough to not remember what Clark looked like without glasses and a fumbling act, but at least they kept to the stuff.
Really excited for next week casue last season and Zod were to me one of the best season directions they ever had. Which is funny that last season they had a villain that was overarching through the season while this season the villain sort of is but isn't at the same time as they focus more on done in one plots and the growth of Clark to Superman, which is much needed. Laughed a bit with Booster telling him to get rid of the Blur name. Always thought it was just stupid to come up with that for the show. Red Blue Blur and Blur.
