Awesome, thanks so much for the recap!
And okay you have a point about the deaths. I guess I didn't associate all those deaths, which really had just happened, with current deaths. So yes, okay lots of deaths did just happen. Hmm, I notice you didn't include Iceman, even though he was smashed apart. Hmm...Will he be showing up(*fingers crossed*)
And I completely forgot about Magneto, Rogue and Charles! I was wondering if they'd show up! Oh who will lead them now? I'm even more intrigued :-p.

As for Iceman - check my avatar. I've been dying to write Iceman for years, you think I'm passing up this chance? ; ) Robert appears in the Age After #2.

Great to see an AoA story. I'm surprised we don't have more. Great to see a Grief story too :-). I remember trying to do my own AoA stuff back for 617, and the potential for stories is huge. I mean there are dozens of characters that have appeared in comics since the AoA was first published like Cecelia Reyes, the X-students etc. There's also non x stories that didn't get addressed, like is Captain America still in ice, what about when Iron Fist left K'un L'un and so on.

Most of the things you brought up about Secret X-Men are answered in the next issue Secret X-Men #3 Arcadia Rising. That one will also reveal the origins of Deadhead & Jenny, the mutant canine Cu, what Thunderbird's words meant, and who Eliza is exactly. It will also explain more about what the holographic system Arcadia is. As for the characters, at the moment with the exception of Thunderbird, Kid Colossus, and Moira, they are all my own creations. Deadhead was actually the first x-man type character I ever created back in '91 when I was younger, although his origins have changed a lot since then. The most recent of them was Ciel, who I created when I started writing Secret X-Men.
As for the New World, the characters are going to be expanded on, the just haven't been yet. A lot of the character development, even for the deceased happens as the story progresses. As for Emma's interest in Sally is due to the fact that a thirteen year old girl has been rapidly aged to approximately 80. Once again there is more to that than seen at the moment, Emma's story isn't quite finished despite her apparent death. As for the Spiderman/Strange sequence, Issues 5 will have the survivors of Xavier's School, the remaining heroes of New York City, and a few others encounter each other so Issue 4 will feature the characters of New York City so as per the continuing thing, each Issue ends where the next issue begins. There are only 9 Issues for the main story of Decimation and the rest is told in the tie-ins. I already have most of the main story written so I've been working on the tie-ins, I have already finished three of the six one-shots I had planned, and all the Preludes which will be released after the Decimation.
Much of the idea of killing off characters who seem important before revealing information about them was inspired by this one series I either watched or read when I was younger. I don't remember what it was called or about, but I remember them using that literary device.

PatRICK Parker, ahhh! I didn't even put two and two together. Blah :-p.
Still I'll blame it on you until you give me another issue of XXTNC you evil, evil man.
@Gwando:
Cool, if that's the way you want to do things I'll sit back and enjoy the ride but honestly I didn't even know Emma died nor did I know that Sally had aged 80 years. I just think it's important that the character development happens in the man series. Tie-ins and preludes are good and all, but the main story is where the story is happening. Without character in a main story, you just have a bunch of plot points happening.

Well there is quite a bit of character development in Issues 4 & 6, so you'll probably enjoy those... granted #4 doesn't feature the X-Men...

@Gibbering - Thanks for the read sir. I remember when the 617 was trying it's hand at the AoA. The whole reason I stayed out of it was because I felt too many people survived - Apocalypse has been in charge of the world for 20 years. He's culled WHOLE NATIONS and decimated America and yet I remember the writers wanting to use people like Prodigy or Elixir. To me, those type of characters are just too young to have survived. They would have been newborns when Apocalypse took power and I just find it hard to believe that they would have survived to the point of having powers. And even if they did, they're in a mutant dominated society struggling to survive. They wouldn't be good people.
So you'll find very few younger X-characters in MY AoA. I do have some plans for a particularly villainous team of youngsters that Summers and X are going to run into. I also have plans for Ms. Reyes and some basic ideas for some humans - while I wouldn't call them a team like the Avengers, you'll see some 616 superheroes in AoA form show up down the line.
I'll be posting some feedback PROBABLY on Thursday. I'm going to try to get a story or two done tomorrow, just busy in real life.

Oh Cecilia Reyes! Yay!!! I <3 here and she doesn't get enough fan fiction love.
I also like that you're approaching this in a "This is the world, these are its people" not "These are the people, this is their world." I do think there is a difference. One is about the world and the people affected by it, the other is about the people and the world affected by it. The former really works best for AoA.
If you all can't tell, I'm really excited about this title, especially after having read the upcoming Age After #1.

SUPREME-- Well, at this rate, Megan's going to end up with enough magical doodads to do some real mischief, isn't she? Had no idea who Varnae or Cagliostro were, but I do like the idea that Pixie could be called into something this serious and still be dealing with it in her own unique way. I think you handled her well, and whilst I don't know a lot about Ultra-Girl, and it may be part of the character and the way she was written in the MU, but there was something about the way she kept using the word 'ultra' that seemed overly repetitive. That's my one complaint. I liked the veiled references to the Pixie hate the happens on these boards, and I really enjoyed the fact that I still have no idea as to what the hell is going on in this title, and that Pixie hasn't even started solving the mystery! The way you're writing her really reminds me of Buffy/Angel at it's most interesting; when there was lots going on that tied in, in different ways, but you weren't quite sure how yet... I enojyed this, and as someone who's ambivalent towards Pixie, it isn't as impressive as a positive review from someone who hates her, but still, take the kudos that you're doing a great job :)

Wow...it's been nearly three weeks sincer I've logged in to UXN, and it feels good to be back! My life has been pure chaos these past three weeks (and I'm just getting over a four-day fever), but hopefully now I can get back on track and give you folks some much deserved feedback tonight when I get off work. Also, mad props to you, Xtreme, for getting another update out there. Way to go! I also appreciate your feedback on my third issue of ANG. You always bring up things that I often never think of while I'm writing, and that's great.
Additionally, don't worry too much about Perry turning into a 90's-era Cylcops. I love fleshing out characters, and I think everyone has flaws, so Perry will develop.

COTA-- Well, this certainly felt a lot happier, in spite of everything that was going on! This title is always at it's best when the relationship between the kids is showcased, and here we had that for what felt like the first time in this entire season (which was the point, but still). I kind of think that this felt a little bit like a homecoming, like maybe everything was okay after all, and could be made to be okay again. Other than the kids, who I feel all had their little moments in this issue, Betsy really shone for me. Crystal was good too, as was Jamie, but I think that Betsy's utter desolation and how she feels she's betrayed her family to Sinister was really good stuff! Anyway, hurry and write more. :)

Thanks for the read booty! Glad you enjoyed it. Yeah I really enjoyed writing the kids together again. It's when I enjoy writing the series most. Season 4 will be very focused on that relationship, no breaking up this time! And yeah I'm glad you liked Betsy too. I was surprised that while writing I enjoyed her parts the most out of the MLFers. Her story isn't over yet for sure.
