I think it was weird how Loki actually became Selvig's reflection then. I think they should have had Loki in the reflection, but not actually as Selvig. He should have been lurking over his shoulder or something.

They probably weren't sure how Loki would mind control people or reappear in The Avengers when that scene was filmed so they left open the possibility that Loki was already controlling Selvig or had replaced him.
If Loki was just looking in on Earth from another realm having him appear as Selvig's reflection makes sense because scrying usually requires reflective surfaces. The mirror is no longer opperating a a mirror but as a viewing portal.

I watched the Avengers movies in the cinema twice and I guess it's the best movie of this year! Thor and Loki are my favorite characters.

By the end of Captain America, the US has both the Cosmic Cube & Arnim Zola. Howard Stark knew how to do stuff with it because he left all these coded instructions to his son in Iron Man 2. Zola was already churning out Tesseract guns. So why did it take 70 years for SHIELD to decide to do anything with the Tesseract?

Well, I'm assuming Zola turned on them fairly quickly.

Well I would have to say that I really enjoyed The Avengers movie.  Though not the perfect in terms of world of sense, it was really nice and enjoyable altogether.

I like how Iron Man became the sort of face of the group and true enough, his character speaks just that and one that would most likely benefit those who are interested with knowing and getting familiar with him as well.

Wow I had no idea that the alien in the post credits scene with Thanos was played by Alexis Denisof (Buffy and Angel's Wesley)
