Sorry don't know if this has been asked before but are the tridents that Atlantean royalty possesses and the one the god Neptune uses one and the same? Or are they just two separate weapons with the same name?

I don't think they are. The Atlanteans worship Neptune or at least used too. The tridents they have may be based on his since he is/was their patron god
