As the months pass after the fight something miraculous happens to cyclops, his powers seem to be becoming controllable, meaning he can turn his beams off at will. No longer needing the visor, and oddly when he does use his blasts his eyes glow ruby and his beam is also ruby. However it soon turns bad as his eyesight starts to rapidly decline. Soon he is left blind, unless he is using his powers. This transforms his mutation to evolve where all his senses are superhumanly heightened. And giving him almost a sort of second sight akin to daredevil but not quite as developed as DD. Thus he is blind unless he is seeing red. Much as Basilisk in Age of X must have dealt with when he was imprisoned by Arcade. |

I think it's a pretty good idea - although I think would have been better presented in the form of a long-form story. ; )

Honestly I think along form story would be awesome about this, part of why I posted. Not very good at fan fics, but if anyone wants to take this idea and run with it I would love to see a fan fic about this. LOL. Anyone?
