So your suggestion is needed. As you saw, I did this update a little differently, giving each long running title their own thread while giving lumping new series titles together. The solict thread stays put and we can still have discussions there but I thought it might be easier to just collect feedback for one series in one place(so the writer can look back at past suggestions, etc). It would also give the writers a place to post and discuss their titles.
But I don't want to eliminate the point of the Lounge nor do I want to do away with group threads..so...hmm...
What do you guys think? I'm a tad indifferent too it, haha. But it's about what the people want. So what do the people want?
So look at what we have now and decide. I'll be merging the threads together if we decide to stick with the old way.
PS:
The first post in each thread is sort of a rough cut what I want to go there. I'll write something else and I'd want them to all somewhat match.
One thing though; I'd like each writer to give a summary of their universe/title. Not about what has happened in your title but what you think your title is about, in your own words. So if Daniel and Scott can get that to me, that would be great ;-).

I think this is a great idea really. It makes it far easier to find the feedback about your title and give ways to discuss your title without having to search back through one thread's pages to find what someone said about a title and that way there aren't various conversations over lapping about titles possibly confusing people. If they want to talk about COTA they go to that thread. X-Treme that one. And etc.
This wont' get rid of the lounge idea as we can still have threads that discuss things over all, just makes it far easier to discuss certain titles and feedback and go back and forth with the writer.
And I'll get that summary piece to you later today most likely.

Plus the Lounge can remain as a place to post Fan Art. :)

I'm all for it. Like Scott said it makes it easier for people to find feedback and post ideas for discussion. Its akin to some of the other fan fiction sites, which have threads dedicated to their series in their forums.

I had just woken up and completely misread things. I thought there was going to be a new thread for every issue. Carry on.

I plan to put links to each thread when providing the update in the General Section thread, so it won't be too hard to find.
But I confused as to why it would be hard to find with LESS writers. I'd actually think the opposite.

If there was a way to make a post 'sticky' so it stayed right at the top of the sub-section of the forum, I think it would be a better way to do this. I kind of agree with Kipe on this one, as I think there's a chance that maybe if one title has more people reading it than others, there's a chance it gets overlooked in the update, whereas previously I think it was easier to see 'look, there's an update, this is what's new, okay...' kind of vibe.
Although I do appreciate the attempt at something new :).

Ah..okay, yeah see that's one of my concern. I don't want story getting lost. I could make a sticky post but there is still the risk of that no? Hmm...see that's the BIGGEST problem. Stickys might work, but does anyone else have a solution.
Remember the GS thread will still exist for updates and just general discussion and I'll bel inking to threads within that thread, so that's one way to make sure people realize what's new.

Honestly if the thought problem is titles getting over looked with this format, since X-Treme is still doing the General Section thread the same way with links that problem would still exist. Cause if you look back at the GS thread there were plenty of titles or issues that didn't get any feed back at all. There were titles that were read more that got feedback but others didn't. So new or old format there is that big chance that can happen.
I personally think this new way works best because the GS thread is no place to have conversations about the actual issue or series as a whole because say I post about COTA and then someone posts about X-Force Beyond and then someone about INtolerance and then X-Treme replies about COTA and then a post about something else and others that follow that then finally I reply about COTA and on and on. It becomes sort of a jumbled mess you have to decipher through to reply about it. This is easier so that any comments about COTA go in that thread.
Sticky would be a good way to go about it so that they are always there at the top and no one discussion thread gets lost at the bottom. But they wont' really get lost because like X-Treme said he'll be linking the issue in the GS and if the issue is linked in the discussion threads too they'll move right back up. Also not much chance of them moving further down in that section as the only other thread that is actively posted to there really is Marvel Omega's thread.
Also this would make the Fan Fiction forum look cleaner as if you look down there are tons of GS update and review threads and a review thread for this title there and another for this title and then another for the title before that and then one that someone posted that is just a plethora of reviews they recently made. If each universe or title or line of titles has a place to reply to just makes it cleaner and easier to see really.

That's true. I guess if i can sticky each post, make it in alphabetical order and all, that might make it easier to find. Like I said, my main cocern is all about people finding and reviewing the NEW stories. Then that's why the links will be there.
Daniel, Kipe...anything more to add? Do links and such help or is it still too much of a problem?

What Uncanny said makes sense and it would look cleaner. Personally though, I'm fine with however you choose to do it.
Are you guys talking about having one sticky GS Update thread? Then all solicitations, updates, and links could go in that thread. If the titles were discussed in other threads it would be easy to keep the GS Update thread clean.
