Why is it that Klingons seem to have the most badass cloaks. What makes them so powerful?

Cloaks as in invisible ships or cloaks as in impressive high council robes? Both are pretty badass.

It's to undermine their propaganda that they are courageous & honourable warriors.

Because it gives them cause to punch that snot-nosed English Brat and his silly little invisbility cape while cursing the entire Potter family line.
Alex I do everything like a hawk.
This isn't DC Comics -- Marvel continuity doesn't die out if you don't water it often enough.
The whole Batman idea is a very childish response to childhood trauma.

Haha I mean ship-cloaking.  So often, Federation ships seems to be dumbstruck or helpless when engaging in a cloaked Klingon vessel.  Yeah, they're cloaked and nobody can see them, but have the Federation done anything to improve their Klingon-detecting technology?

Actually the Klingons seem to have gotten cloaking tech from the Romulans, and the Romulans have better cloaks.  In the Federation's FIRST encounter with a cloaked Klingon ship they did a pretty good job of destroying it.  Both the Federation and the Dominion have developed a method for using an active sensor sweep to locate cloaked vessels.  The Federation first used it against the Romulans, but as Romulan and Klingon cloaks use the same principle it should work on both.
