Stinger I was a 1940's criminal, II was a mercenary who attacked the Avengers, IV a member of Strike Force One.

In the Age of Apocalypse, a female bolt-thrower named Wendy was seen in X-Calibre #4, who could've been a counterpart for Stinger. This was more or less confirmed when Stinger's full name, Wendy Sherman, was revealed in 616 in Nation X #1.
