Madelyne briefly became Anodyne in the X-Men/Alpha Flight limited series. She later became the Goblyn Queen in Uncanny X-Men #234. Madelyne died in X-Factor (1st series) #37 during Inferno, but was accidentally ressurected when Nate Grey crossed over from the Age of Apocalypse. With his mental powers he tried to reach out to the friendly person he met before (Jean) and subconsciously gave the echo of Madelyne's psyche a new form(X-Man #5).
As an ally of the X-Men during the Australian era, Madelyne was once rendered invisible to all forms of electronic detection.
Madelyne's middle name Jennifer was revealed during the wedding in Uncanny X-Men #175.
