BROOD GROUPS
Although the Brood are generally a hive-like collective, at times, notable splinter groups have appeared that distinguish themselves from the larger Brood masses. Below are two prime examples of quasi-independent Brood clans.
Harry Palmer's Brood Gang
Blindside

Brickbat

Powers: generate neuroelectric energy that paralyzes the active life systems of his opponents
Spitball

Powers: discharge highly explosive spheres of energy plasma from his mouth cavity

Powers: project pheromones that seep into her victim's pores, reducing their mental resistance to suggestion and making them desire to please her
Tension

Powers: stretch his Brood tentacles and use them to ensnare others and constrict around them
Whiphand

Powers: surround his forearms with coils of solid bio-energy, which he can stretch and lengthen into extended whips
Hannah Connover's Brood
The group of Brood created by the tortured Brood Queen Hannah Connover were people from her congregation who sought her help as a "faith-healer". In reality, Hannah was easing their sickness and ailments by implanting them with Brood eggs, just as her own arthritis had been "cured" when Josey Thomas implanted her with a Brood Queen egg. Hannah was wracked with guilt for creating more Brood hosts. Her "children" were fiercely loyal and gladly gave their lives defending Hannah from the Brood Empress’s Firstborn assassins.
